This car is a serious head turner and is made for putting a smile on your face, thank goodness Hyundai makes engaging cars, and so well equipped 😍😍😍

Love it in the periwinkle blue, she's a stunner. Saw the rear end of one a few weeks ago at night, the rear light bar looks absolutely sick

Just bought the 2022 sky blue manual version. Absolutely fantastic and worth every cent. I upgraded from the n-line 2021, also a great car

Without a doubt Hyundai N series appears to be a serious contender on track and on paper. I am planning at changing my 20 years old V6 manual Camry soon. And I’m looking at another manual. With very few choices left, I’m finding it very hard to choose the right one that will last another 20 years, with FORD recently axing their last two hot hatches. Corolla GR, Civic Type R, Renault Megane RS Trophy are out of my price range, so it only leaves me with two options: the new WRX which is an outstanding vehicle but I will definitely have to spend thousands more to get those black plastic fenders sanded and repainted, or the i30N hatch or sedan. However I’m still hesitant on spending $45K-$55K on either one. Will they last? How reliable are they? I was at my local dealership a few days ago looking at one and I was surprised and disappointed to see how easy it was to push down on the rear quarter panel a few times with my thumb and seeing it popping in and out 😰 Ooops lucky the dealer never saw me doing that. I find it very strange that nobody has ever mentioned anything about that in any online reviews. The panel and paint work are definitely not the same as a 1954 Hillman Minx, 1973 HQ Premier or a 1974 XB coupé. So are the N series really worth every penny or I’m going to regret it in 3-5 years time? See the following KZfaq kzfaq.info/get/bejne/lZplpbCIt5rGk3k.html

If you were going to buy one would you get this or the hatch? I know this is meant to be superior in most aspects, but I just can’t get past the looks.

I'd prefer those seats of this test drive unit for a daily driver rather than the super aggressive bucket seats we have here in North America.

In my opinion this should be the first horsepower adder as with every thing else would be a raging river tearing at the Deltas ✌️

Loving your reviews! What's your view on Hyundai quality? There's been headlines this year of them needing to commit $2B for recalls/fixes. Should we stay clear of the brand with exception of their 'N' performance line?

Thanks movefwdg - I guess we can't really comment too much about "long-term" Hyundai or KIA quality as we generally get pretty new press cars to drive (mind you we recently had a 19,000km Tucson which seemed to be holding up pretty well considering it had a hard life as a press car too!). I guess it depends on how long you intend to keep a car, but I pretty much just keep my own new cars for the warranty period (so it's definitely covered if something goes wrong - I had to have a full engine replacement once but it was fully covered under warranty which was good for me financially!). I service them at the dealer during this time too because I've found if your car has a full dealer service history (and some warranty left) it's easier to sell or trade-in. I've also found the manufacturer is more likely to consider giving you some "goodwill" help if something goes wrong just outside of the warranty period because it's had a full dealership service history too. Hyundai's warranty (in Australia) covers their N cars for "non-competition track usage", so you'd think they've engineered them to be a bit tougher if they're happy to let you go out on the track, so I reckon day-to-day usage shouldn't be an issue for them? Anyway, N cars are really really fun to drive too, so if you enjoy your driving, go for it! Thanks for watching!
