Very good review. I have used Kona EV for about six months, and is very satisfied. The performance and handling are very good. The battery range is enough for my daily needs.

Nice review. Nice EV. Wish you covered the cornering (moose test) capability a bit more. Too bad this EV is only available in: CA CO CT ME MA MD NJ NY OR RI VT WA I live in AZ (like the reviewer here), the nearest one is ~330 miles away in LA.

My Son has last year’s model which he loves except for the looks. He parks it so that he doesn’t see the front of the car when he leaves his front door lol.

I totally get that. I was going to buy the 2021 as well but I couldn't stand the front. Glad I waited a year and got the 2022.

I love in evs almost never using the real brakes what saves money. And I've learned to drive mostly "0" pedal drive

I have the base model kona 2021. motor and battery are the same, which and the end of the day is what matters the most. in the spring and autumn I can get 300 miles 480 km of range. heating and a/c really kill that range. charge it at home with the solar panel and don't even know the price of gas any more and my electric bill is still the same. will be getting a tesla m3 due to those supercharging perks.

The charge port is in an awful location 🚫 should have been too the middle under the logo 🤔 or up and have the logo hide it 😃👍🏾

If anyone seriously considers this car please do yourself a favor and check out the Tesla Model 3. When you add the dealer mark to this car am sure you get quite close to the Model 3. I promise you will fall in love with your Tesla.

Not all dealers are charging markups. And do not forget about the federal rebate, as well as state incentives that this qualifies for that the Tesla does not. I have done my calculations and there is almost a $10k different between this and the model 3 base in my area.

This is reviewed much higher quality than the model 3 for your price. Tesla aren't good. They just famous. Build quality is poor. Customer service is poor.

The Kona EV is a much lower priced vehicle starting at 34k and ranges to the mid 40s fully optioned. Model 3 starts at 46 and ranges up to 70k if you spend out on options. First, the Cyber Truck doesn't exist yet but pricing is said to range between 39-69k - before options. You asked why not buy a Model 3 and Cyber Truck. The simple answer is because the Kona EV does not compete with them in size, scope or in price range. It is a more affordable option for those who cannot spend up to 70k.

@@TestDrivenTV The range on the Tesla Model 3 and Cybertruck even with the single motor option is still going to out-range the Kona, and the Teslas don't have a lot of options besides the battery performance. So like I was saying, why the hell would anyone take a Kona EV with some some options (most that Teslas already come with) over a Cybertruck or Model 3?... it makes no sense.
