I've always like the Santa Fe. I personally don't like loud overstyled cars. Just not be cheap and inferior, look good and don't be overpriced. The Fanta Fe always ticks the boxes in my opinion.

Thank you for this Santa Fe review, I bought a 2022 Santa Fe Calligraphy, and I am very pleased with it as some of the Genesis GV 70 goodness was dropped in! Yes, the exterior styling is a bit understated, but in my neighborhood it fits in quite well with the Mercs, Audis, Buicks, and Cads at thousands less in price!

I love my 2022 Santa FE SE AWD, just over $30k for an SUV of this size is a good deal.

Even if you bring a $10K car on the show, it would feel larger than life! Really appreciate the work you all are putting in!

You mention the Mitsubishi? You can't even compare the 2 vehicles. The interior of the mitsubishi is 10 years behind not to mention that weak inefficient drivetrain

Great review! I have a 2021 Calligraphy and love it! I like the styling and aggressiveness of the Sorento better, but the Sante Fe is more comfortable seating wise and has a cool suede headliner that I had to have. It also has a HUD that you can't get in the Sorento in the US, that was a dealbreaker for me. Oh and the 20inch wheels on the Calligraphy are pretty stylish and for sure stand out! Thanks!

Great review as always! One correction though - Santa Fe Calligraphy 2022 doesn't have Wireless Auto, at least not in the US. I think SE and SEL models have it.

It's interesting to see how different markets have different versions of the same car. Here in South Africa, this car has 1 engine (2.2 turbodiesel) and 2 trims (Executive and Elite). Admittedly our market for this car is much smaller. 7 seats are standard.

We have the 2022 Sante Fe Limited Hybrid. Its a beast. Amazing car.

I did not watch this video yet.. but yesterday I purchased a new vehicle. It was between the sorento sx-prestige xline and santa fe limited. Looked at the santa fe first, pretty easy to find them- in whatever color you want too. Zero percent for 36 months or 0.9 percent for 48 months. Could always be cheaper, but you get a lot for the price. I was only able to find a couple sorentos with that trim and package, the one I ended up looking at due to time constraints was not a color that I would really want (but would be okay with), and it was a 2022 (still new though). I much much much prefer the exterior looks of the sorento, especially the rear turn signals being where they should compared to the santa fe. However, basically every plastic piece inside is that shiny piano black which is absolutely awful. The santa fe has piano black around the interior lights/button to open the panoramic roof that's it, the other interior trim is all silver carbon fiber type look. The best 'deal' I could get on the sorento, even being a 2022..and black friday, was msrp after fighting with them for 20 minutes to remove their bullshit 1500 markup over msrp. The best deal I got on the santa fe.. 2k under msrp OUT THE DOOR. I'll let you guess which one I bought.

Great review. I chose the Santa Fe over the genesis GV70 because the premium gas the Genesis requires cost 30% more than the regular gas that fits the Santa Fe. With that savings on gas you can still have the power and the interior style of the calligraphy

I chose this over the Sorento because I think the interior is way better, I think the Sorento looked cheap. I also chose the Hybrid, because I do not need the speed and I like the fuel economy. Great review though!

In Australia the fully loaded Santa Fe is called the Highlander. It’s a 2.2 litre turbo diesel. It’s far better than what you get in Canada and US. Electric vehicles are taking off in Australia, but the infrastructure outside of the major cities is not there yet. Within the next 5 years it will be. That’s when the majority of vehicles will only be sold as electric.

Good detailed review. But I'm confused. The headline suggests a comparison between the Santa Fe and the Sorento. Yet the Sorento is hardly mentioned and the comparisons are almost all between the Santa Fe and the Mitsubishi Outlander.

Great review bro.. After seeing this review and your GV70 review I'm honestly torn between the two SUVs. I don't care much about speed but I do like the idea of the Luxury feeling of the GV70. I have two concerns about the GV70 however: 1... It's a first gen, what bugs will be uncovered and should I wait for the 2nd gen? 2... We're having a child this summer so should I roll with the Santa Fe because it's inevitable that the baby will puke all over the back seat and do only God knows what to the upholstery. I wouldn't be as upset if it was in the Santa Fe.. lol.. Any insights you have would be great! Thank you

Look at the t-shape parking lights. Now, look at the grill top and bottom. You will see the grill is in a t-shape as the shape of the parking lights.

Caligraphy only comes in Gasoline and not hybrid.So, Luxury hybrid it is.

I love everything Hyundai is doing except them taking away the gear shifter and using buttons. That's a deal breaker for me

This car blows kia out of the ball park. Especially the hybrid model. Sorento has non stop transmission issues so enjoy your time in the body shop.

Funny that back in the day Hyundai used to use Mitsubishi engines and sell rebranded Mitsubishi cars in Korea. Now Hyundai is head and shoulders above Mitsubishi.

I feel you brother. Though the interior is top-notch for this price segment, the Santa Fe has the most boring/ugly rear end ever. Its outlook is pretty average and more of "late 2000s/early 2010s" design. I actually prefer KIA Telluride's look than this one. If they could re-design the taillight to make it look manlier, I may get this car.

Sorento all day everyday, the small price difference results in a much better build quality. that's the main difference between Hyundai and their Kia counterparts. The kia counterpart is built with more attention to quality of assembly.

Buy none until they figure out thier defective connecting rod bearings that damages engines. Form 2012 to 2020 across numerous engines and models affecting over hundreds of thousands of vehicles. You think they would learn but it took a lawsuit to bring the truth out after denying it. Shithole company.
