What a privilege to sit with the champion and hear his story

SUPER interview! 1:00:09 ~ "Life is just one big dog race, that's what my life is." ~ My favorite moments: 15:00 It WASN'T a magic carpet ride. 16:36 His dogs sit, too, but not going to complain, rather hand-feeding. 22:00 "My secret weapon is my dogs are really calm." Bruce Lee thought they were really tired and said, "You broke my heart when you went through Galena." 24:20 There was a turn-around on the run into Unalakleet. He had been hand-feeding them until "They stared hammering the food." 28:00 "No one chooses to stay on the ice." 29:41 Stopping on the sea ice he said, "It was the cutest thing" to see them all in a pile where he hand-fed each one in turn. 37:45 Brent's way of bonding with his dogs and bonding them with each other. 57:17 Mark (Brent's Dad) visits him every year in Alaska for 24 years.

Incredibly honest, vulnerable interview. Thanks to Brent for telling his story and for taking such good care of the dogs. Anyone know who the reporter asking questions at the end is? She's great, too!

What a season! Brent has won every race this year he has entered (4) That is a great year for sure. Everyone can see that he has matured into an excellent dog man. Here is a stat that is absolutely mind blowing. Copper Basin 300- 1st place - 0dogs dropped Yukon Quest US side-1st place-0 dogs dropped Yukon Quest Canada side 1st place -0dogs dropped Iditarod Champions- 3dogs dropped. That's around 2000miles of competitive racing with only 3 dogs dropped the entire season. Most mushers will drop 5+ in each race, let alone an entire season. That only happens with phenomenal dog care. Expert dog care. Plain and simple.

I wish i could befriend this guy.

If dallas seavy or mitch seavey or any good musher killed 3 dogs they would be finished

At least he didn't kill a dog to win!
