It's not just the number of gears but the ratio of those gears. Having less gears doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be screaming in top gear. Some bikes with more gears just has you shifting more without any more top end. It's all about the gear ratios.
@karnijj1
@karnijj1 3 ай бұрын
The ratios are the same. on the sixty, you have 1,2,3,4,6 of the scout.

I got the 6 speed rogue for my first bike and it’s perfect. I have no prior experience riding bikes in my life. Took the Harley course then bought this over the iron 883. The bike is agile and forgiving. I got comfortable with it pretty quick.

@@henryj4798 I too took the Harley course in august and it was great! And I was also looking at getting the iron 883 but if what you said is true. Then I’m gonna look more into the scout rogue sixty

I really love this bike just would've preferred mid controls but slightly forward mids like Street Bob 114 has. I just prefer my controls in the mid for majority of my riding and stretch my legs occasionally on forward highway pegs.
@ShiftNSmiles
@ShiftNSmiles 7 ай бұрын
I feel you on that! I prefer mids as well which is why I find my Low Rider S more comfortable than the Rogue Sixty.

Been looking for this one. I'm short king 5'5 and not sure if my short arms could reach the bars or is there any way to make it comfortable
@ShiftNSmiles
@ShiftNSmiles 7 ай бұрын
And that is quite alright being a short king :) As far as I know, they do a pretty decent job from the factory of giving it a small riser setup with a slight pull-back. I'm 5'10 and it felt comfortable being in the saddle. As for making it comfortable, like most bikes, you can opt to put a different set of risers on it with a pull-back so that it fits your needs and requirements to make the riding experience as enjoyable as possible. I would highly recommend going to a dealership or a shop that has expertise in after-market installations so that they can help you measure out the exact distance you need to feel comfortable maneuvering that motorcycle.

I am the same height man. when I first got my Indian Scout Rogue Sixty, I was hunched forward a bit, but I adjusted the handlebars so that they're angled more towards me, so I can sit more upright.

I believe the regular Indian scout rogue has the bigger engine with the 6th gear.
@ShiftNSmiles

You're right! The Scout Rogue does have a 6th/"Overdrive" gear! Just to chug all the highway miles🤙

They hurt their chances to get to the level of harley when they shut down the Victory line. It was and still is the best looking smoothest and most reliable cruiser bike ever made. The marketing for Victory motorcycles was Pathetic and non existent.
@ShiftNSmiles

I can see your perspective on the downfall of the Victory lineup. They had some great looking bikes that performed well, to my knowledge at least. It's a shame Polaris got rid of the brand. It could have given Harley a real run for their money had they marketed the motorcycle correctly. But, instead they wanted their resources to go towards Indian instead. It's a shame we didn't get to see what Victory could have been...

@@ShiftNSmiles I agree. Maybe they will bring it back but not likely . How do Indians sale I wonder ? I would imagine they don’t sale anywhere near the units Harley does . Not that victory did but that was on there lack of marketing Look at a 2017 victory magnum x1 That bike is simply amazing and fits in even 6 years later . I still think it’s the best looking factory bagger ever made. Now that is subjective to one’s opinion but man the habanero orange was 🔥

Victory had zero draw factor when it came to name recognition for the American cruiser market. It didn’t have a chance against Harley. With buying the rights to the Indian name, they now have an old school fight on their hands . I took this exact bike on a tester (bought it right after) and a guy in his 70s rolled down his window and said that it’s nice to see Indians on the road bc him and his friends used to ride them back in the day. Can’t really say that about Victory. The Indians are still a carryover but with a brand that people know and is more true ‘Americana’

@@MR.TOYBOX Dude relax, victory had zero chance to compete with HD and obviously Polaris saw this and decided to kill it for Indian. It doesn't take a scientist to figure out HD sells a lot more. A much better business decision with going with a legendary name being brought back. Never underestimate the power of nostalgia and real competition.

I just hit 19,000 miles on my 2022 Indian scout roque and knock on wood I haven't had a single issue with it. I mean it's a year and a couple months old it better not have any issues lol

It's wonderful that you've hit that many miles in a little over a year and a half! Most people don't ride as much as you do in that time period, let alone a season. Much luck to another 19,000 miles without any problems 🤞 I have 41,000+ miles on my '21 Low Rider S and it's been great to me. Just routine maintenance, and it's been a gem!
