2022 Jeep Gladiator - A Lesson You Won't Forget

The Jeep Gladiator might actually be the best truck EVER! It does everything a truck can do, plus it brings everything Jeep has to offer. It looks good, it drives well, it can be customized and can conquer some serious off-roading trails. But, as good as that is, it still doesn't answer the question we want to know; what would it be like if Julius Caesar had a 2022 Jeep Gladiator on his journey through Italy over 2000 years ago? That is the question on everyone's mind. So, we want to know what the Jeep Gladiator would have been like crossing the Rubicon river with Caesar, through water and mud. We want to know what the Jeep Gladiator would have been like if Caesar drove it through Italy during hot days. Finally, we want to know what the Jeep Gladiator would have been like for Caesar to own after conquering Rome. There is a lot to learn in this 2022 Jeep Gladiator review as Brad and Jared present the Gladiator as it was meant to be presented. You first need to understand where the name comes from, then you will appreciate everything else about the brilliant 2022 Jeep Gladiator.

Don't know if you were joking about the name Rubicon being inspired by Ceaser and the Rubicon river, but TMK it was named after the Rubicon Trail (near Lake Tahoe, Nevada)...which makes WAY more sense given that's what Jeeps are know for: Tough, difficult off-roading. For sure though -- and regardless of the name's origin -- Jeep Rubicon trim-levels (be they Wranglers or Gladiators) are the Top Dog Jeeps. Within that mid-size segment (mid-size cars, SUVs or trucks), when it comes to serious off-road-focused 4x4 vehicles, Jeeps had no serious competition the many decades they've been around (even though the Rubicon name came later). Until the Ford Bronco arrived. Now, the Bronco directly competes with the Wrangler (as both are SUVs). However, the Gladiator (a lame name, IMO) STILL has no serious competition...except for the "seriously-redesigned & improved" 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2. Earlier ZR2s (2022s and earlier) were close, but clearly in 2nd place. If Ford had not decided to cancel coming out with a Bronco Truck, THAT would have been serious competition for the Gladiator -- but they didn't. So no threat to the Gladiator from Ford -- just Chevy. Consequently, if one wants the MOST capable American-brand off-road mid-size TRUCK, there are only 2 choices: The Gladiator Rubicon and upcoming 2023 Chevy Colorado ZR2. -- BR

The Jeep is still a bit of a stand alone. To us, that makes it extra special. Many can try to compete, but the Jeep name is enough to make that divide big enough. Thanks for watching. There is a lot wrong about this video, but what I hate most is when bad specs are given. The gladiator diesel tows 6000 lbs not 4500.

That is a great question. We never bothered trying it. But, if it’s anything like the Bronco, it is not overly comfortable in the 2 door.

My Ferguson tractor has more comfortable seat. Only in Jeep seats with comfort level of a train station bench are considered as feature worth extra money 🤦🏼‍♂️

If you buy a top trim Jeep Gladiator the firs and most important upgrade you should do would be a brain 😝😂🤣… unless you trade in your mother in law for it 🤷🏼
