Refined from the second-generation model with Keihin fuel-injection, updated rear frame and swingarm design and ABS, the 2022 KLR650 keeps the simplicity and reliability KLR users have come to love with modern advancements to bring the pig into the modern era. In this video, Josh gets acquainted with the third generation KLR650 as he goes over the updates and his first impressions of the 2022 Kawasaki KLR650.

I just purchased two of the 2022 Adventure models for my wife and I. We're both street bike riders (VTX's) and an original CBR1000F. We wanted to work out way into the adventure world at a moderate pace. We're both at the 60 year stages of our lives. Health, still athletic... and so on.

Bought a 22 KLR adventure during thanksgiving week of 21. Spring 22 is upon us as i write this and have 2000 miles on it now. If you know what your buying the KLR is the golden calf. If your immature and desire to ride it like a performance twin at 90mph on the hwy you will be severely disappointed. Nothing on this planet nor the next competes with the KLR in this price range at what it was intended to do. Nothing. It would be profoundly ignorant to even entertain the thought. The whole point of a KLR is simplicity and value. Understand those 2 points to the fullest and you get a KLR. (PS...it doesnt need a 6th gear)

The doohicky is known by everyone who has ever looked at a KLR - so WTF would Kawasaki not fix this significant problem and missed out on a tach and a sixth gear on the Gen3? That is simply stupid, although the rest of the package sounds OK. It’s like they went to the General Motors School of Customer Response.

Let's talk about the doohickey!! again.and again.people are saying all they did was add fuel injection.actually the bike is completely redesigned.longer swing arm, generator puts out more juice, bigger brakes,beefed up frame,new headlights,abs, fuel injection,new instrumentation.a lot more than just fuel injection.and how they did all that without raising the price I'll never understand.but all I keep hearing is what about the doohickey.I couldn't care less about the doohickey as I've never seen one fail and I know a lot of people who have owned a lot of klrs.

I really love mine. Got it a few months ago. I got it for work but have really enjoyed hitting some of the dirt roads and trails outside of town. It's so much fun and really makes me feel like a kid again.

My favorite video on the gen 3 so far. I am borrowing Jesse's bike that he just got from you guys, doing a few initial videos before my press bike arrives. Pulling it apart with Eagle Mike this weekend, will report back on several areas. Overall, I am super happy the KLR lives on, we need an affordable ADV and this is the only one! And we don't want the zip tie companies to go out of business.

Bought the new 2022 a few months ago...This is my 7th new KLR since their inception....Always enjoyed the bike, but the new one is definitely the best...Just a great all around bike...
