Many people in the comments comparing the sorento and other mid sized crossovers to ppvs, even though they are not at the same level... all midsized crossovers will look overpriced next to ppvs in paper and brochure specs, but the even the worst crossover in this class is still far and above better than the best of the best ppv in terms of comfort, handling, driving dynamics, and overall refinement. If u look at sorento next to a Mazda CX-8 or Hyundai Santa Fe, both of which are direct competitors to the Sorento, and you will realize that the Sorento isn't actually too overpriced. It loses some features, but the money you lose in features u gain in the diesel engine (diesel versions are more expensive than gasoline counterparts). If kia brought in the gas Sorento instead, that would have been more competitive against the CX-8 for sure in terms of pricing.

The fuel efficiency part was unexpected. When Caco said it was going to be not really good, I was expecting like 6-7km/l in the city and 14km/l in the highway.. but holy 23+ km/l for any 7 seat vehicle is very good! The smaller diesel CR-V with significantly less power and weight does around the same in the highway and just slightly better in the city.

Finally! Their blind spot camera already made it to the philippines. It took some time but at least we can have it now.

The two things missing in that vehicle are adaptive cruise and a premium audio system to justify the premium price. By the way, once you have Android Auto on your phone, you never need a cable to connect to the audio system. Mine connected right away in the showroom without needing a cable because I already had AA on my phone. The larger screen, the 10", is cable only, and it doesn't use the full screen for Car Play or AA, so I prefer the smaller screen with actual buttons, the bigger screen is touch only, no physical buttons. It does have wireless charging also, so that goes with the wireless connection to AA and ACP. The drive modes are interesting and change the instruments. A sunroof in this heat is unneeded. It is very fast, rides well, handles bad roads and is very comfortable (same seat as in the Stinger with the almost the same adjustments, just missing the side bolster adjustment) and the highway fuel mileage is incredible.

That 3rd and 2nd row space looks REALLY impressive. Too bad the infotainment screen is still an ordinary 16:9 aspect ratio screen, would've much preferred getting the same gigantic screen size as other markets.

I'm currently abroad (ofw) and I own the same Kia Sorento here. This car is so smooth to drive and really an eyecatcher. I never regret my decision getting this car, it's all worth it. I wonder if the Philippines model has a Bose sound system as what it has in my Sorento. Really really nice car! Mine however has a 2.5L petrol engine 4wd. Price of gasoline here is very cheap, so no issue getting a petrol engine.

I just got my first 2022 KIA Sorento last week and I’m loving it. Mine is AWD and has a massive sun roof. The only downside I noticed was the acceleration. It doesn’t give me that power I’m looking for.

Finally a detailed and precise content, nicely delivered without a doubt, i must admit that despite the price, this car is appealing to my eyes 🤤👍

No mention of good aftersales and the 5-year warranty? Well, this car is as good as this review is. Also, yes ACC with LSF should have been included since CR-V has that and even the new HR-V has that at half the price of this one.

The only thing missing in that price point is the 4wd system. I've used the older generation and it is really useful.

Finally a Kia Sorento. I've been a fan of this since 2020 and was thinking how it would be if it's in the PH

I like this Sorento, but for the price, it's not worth it with the diesel engine. This is not a dig at Kia and is not just a Kia issue. Many of the manufacturers, sell top spec models with the same "smallish" engine found on the entry level model that cost much less. Manufacturers upgrade everything from ride, handling to the looks and tech, than they carry over an engine that's 100 horsepower! For the price they're asking for the top spec, the engine should be upgraded as well. Good review as always!

This car has so much to offer if we even have the full specs version from Korea but imagine how gastronomical the price it would be even more. This SUV is so much underated but is actual value for money. What this will suffer from is getting it's usual stigma by being a Korean product and the fact people see the price tag for what it offers more compared to it's competitors. You can never compare apples to oranges but people will sure try. My challenge to the Kia distributor now is to offer this car with an extended warranty similar to what they do in other countries and offer it to a price that would give a run of the money on the more coveted PPVs which are still King when it comes to the SUV segment.

I already saw that sorrento in Sojoo vlog. He was not able to explain the details of that car. I even said ugly, which i meant its not the same as the one in South korea. Its like what we have here is just an immitation of the original one. Sorry to say that. Special yung Hybrid model nila is so beautiful. Pero i understand the reason why? How does the partial wireless Apple CarPlay work? This is the first time I hear that you can unplug the phone and CarPlay continues to work. I know many have true wireless but never one that you plug then unplug
