I’m lefty but I have always thrown a disc/frisbee right handed since I was a little kid so I throw right hand back hand and left hand forehand 😂 so it kinda sucks bc they both fade the same way

Zach's best drive all day was on 17. When he lays off the crazy torque move, he's able to place it better. He's got good scrambling skills and short game. Just don't feel like his power gen is helping him score on a course like this.

Even when watching ambidextrous players, it's pretty odd to see someone switching to their off hand to throw forehands off the tee so many times the way Zach does. I mean I know it's not the same exact thing but righty forehand is pretty similar to lefty backhand. It'd be interesting to hear his thought process.

yea idlewild has to be one of the best competitive courses there is. Its super technical but still has long holes you can rip on but only if you have good control. More courses should be made like this because these open ball golf courses are becomming meh. Its like we get it you can crush 600 ft on a wide open hole but can you put the perfect touch to s out through the woods on a 400ft hole? I feel like weve been slowly losing this side of the game which is a huge reason its so great.

I don't know. Feels like if the sport wants to be serious about being credibly professional something like slickness of teepad shouldn't be a factor when it comes to results. A standard should be set and players have every right to demand it too.
@kyleweir689
@kyleweir689 2 жыл бұрын
the problem is, the DGPT doesn't control the tee pads. these courses are maintained by local clubs and owners. they can't be expected to finance and produce the work to lay new tee pads every couple years... unless the DGPT has a course maintenance committee that arrives and does that work weeks in advance... it's not gonna happen anytime soon
@rfinnegan7106
@rfinnegan7106 2 жыл бұрын
These and many wooded tee pads get a fine growth of lichen or moss on them. When dry you do not notice but, add rain and slickness is unavoidable. Notice that the open pads were fine. I have played this course over 100 times. Real Pros know all about mossy tees and adjust accordingly.

What a sadistic course. Not only is it incredibly tight, but there is OB everywhere off line. You could take away all of the OB and this would still be a challenging course. I would think an amateur player would probably ruin a driver bouncing off of trees on every round.

OB on a course like this is dumb. Or pretty much any course for that matter (unless it’s for safety reasons). If they go into the woods or the rough just make them play from there. That’s their penalty. And then we get to see more cool creative scramble shots. Make the game more skill than luck. And more interesting and exciting for players and spectators.
