Weight update! The scale is in fact off. I weighed the bike on two other scales and the XL comes in at 20.84kg on the nose with tubes. I’m glad you all pointed out that the scale could be off!

I have a H30 and the first thing I did was swap the brakes out. Made it much safer ;) love the bike and would recommend it to anyone.

Interesting on the weight you got. After I ditched the tubes, my H30 size medium is 43.9 lbs (no pedals) on a Feedback Sports scale which is more in line with marketing. Great review btw!

I’ve got the H15 with an upgraded fork, shock, brakes & tyres. It’s lovely to ride, looks really stealthy, plenty powerful enough, shifts gears really well. The battery drops about 2 bars per 24 miles. Love it

I own a Trek Rail 5 I’ve had it since 2020 and it’s a beast had no problems with it would highly recommend. Just to say this Orbea doesn’t quite add up to me, my trek rail weighs 23.4kg and I have a Bosch motor with a 625wh batter as standard. This Orbea comes in at 20kg but it only has a 540 battery and a Shimano motor which is yet to be confirmed reliability wise. It’s also not as powerful as my Trek which chucks out 90nm of torque, whereas this is 60nm. On my rides I’ve never run out of battery and I’m doing hilly rides with medium-high assistance I’m getting about 30-38 miles out of my bike. Then there’s the price, it’s £4,400 where as my trek is (was) £4,000. Trek Rail 5 also has 4 piston breaks as standard where as this Orbea doesn’t as you pointed out. I’m just chucking numbers and stats out here and I’m sure the Orbea is a great bike it certainly looks beautiful, I just am not sure where it sits against competitors which offer basically more range, more power, more reliability, more value? Unless I am missing something here? It’s ally frame same as my trek, dropper seat post included same as my trek. Only thing I’d say is the thinner overall footprint of the bike looks a dream to ride fast and quickly, but the weight doesn’t constitute that this is necessarily the case? Anyone thinking the same?

I received my H15/(with a few upgrades) last week and went right away to the hills and it was simply great! Exactly like you said it doesn't dig but it gets you to the top faster!! something to note, I was riding with my gf witch was on a conventional bike and it was not bad since I was climbing in eco so totally doable. It will be a different story when I'll ride with others emtb, will for sure use the trail and boost mode more often...FYI i was beaten as her at the end of the ride...!

the only thing I wish the rise had was a bridge to make the rear flex a bit less. It's a fantastic bike.

Definitely looking at getting one, but I do have one concern. I live in Vegas and being that the battery isn’t easily removable, I worry about the battery health if I leave the bike in my garage in the summer months when it’s 110 outside

That's one sweet bike and it doesn't look like a e-bike. Don't have anything against battery powered bikes, it's good to know they exist and improve on a daily basis, so when my legs lose strength, I know there's something that will help me to enjoy pedaling in the woods. Of-topic, when you mentioned brakes. Do you know, by any chance, will sm-RT-70 rotors work with mt-br500 brakes? Brake pads bo1s are differently shaped than those on slx or even mt6000 brakes. My xtc slr1 came with crappy rotors and those brakes, and I've been told they won't work well with better rotors. To get new rotors and better brakes at the same time is kind of pricey :S

I can't understand one thing. On some KZfaq videos (e.g.Rob Rides review) the weight of H30 is 19.8kg. Rob is a tall guy so I believe he tested size L or XL and even taking into account the potential difference in frame sizes, the difference of 1 kg in weight is very strange!

The welds that are ground smooth and flush to the frame are not as strong as the sloppy looking ones they use on higher stress areas. The welds are the weak link.

If you had to pick. Would you go M20 or H15 with the $$ difference spent on upgrades? Fyi, I'm a big boy for a rider. 210lb. Currently on Occam H30 with some upgrades.

I’ve seen the carbon version out riding and thought it was a normal bike until I got a closer look a cheaper aluminium version yes please!

General Q: why don’t they have like a watt-meter on every ebike, isn’t it basically something that could easily be measured inside the motor?

Do you think this bike would take moderate jumps / drops well? Marketed as a trail bike, but I would like to do some part on it too. Obviously after upgrading tyres and brakes. Thx

Maybe I'll $$ an aluminum orbea gravel bike since you love their welds and use of grease plus hambini trashes carbon quality.

I don’t think you will be riding an ebike in Pisgah anyway. Maybe you can do the gravel roads but they will not let you on the trails. Same for Dupont. This is the problem. You can’t ride on your favorite trails with an ebike Even if your in your 60’s like I am.

22kg is not light.
