Legit arm talent. Powerful right arm that can make all the throws. Throws a tight spiral with a quick release. In tight windows Torres can fire a fastball that explodes out of his hand and cuts through a defense. Also displays nice touch & knows when to take something off the ball. Can throw WRs open.
Calm under pressure. Shows real toughness in the pocket. Will sit in and take a hit vs. the blitz. Great escapability, highly instinctive and creative. Torres can make things happen when the play breaks down & improvises very well. Huge frame makes it hard for tacklers to sack & bring him down. Routinely, you would see plays of Torres using his stature and quickness to shove off & elude defenders, using his feet to escape trouble. From there, he can throw well on the run. While scrambling, does a nice job of keeping his eyes downfield to find receivers. Has worked under center as well. Also a star G/F on the basketball team (starter since a freshman).
