Hey mate! Yeah located in South Aus. We got it on the road just over a week ago and have been living with it. Gave it a run on the Northern Expressway, and through the Adelaide Hills. Gonna run it up the freeway and the Southern Expressway to get the full gamut of experience. So far it's been rock solid, doesn't feel underpowered or slow, but it's also not "fast". It gets to the speeds you need it to the most like 60 or 80 without making you feel like you're in people's way, but it sits on about 3k RPM at 110. Not ideal for fuel efficiency. First tank (25L of 95) it did ~350kms, which is about 14 km/L or 7.14 L/100km. It probably could get more but we've been revving the guts out of it and driving it on freeways to see how it behaves. I reckon once we settle in to daily driving more we'll be looking at around 5L/100km. Full review coming soon, stay tuned!

Hey mate we just started driving it a week ago. Unfortunately as far as I can tell this unit has no possible way to function in English as it was made only for the Japanese market. I've been using a combination of Google Translate app and a poorly translated Owner's Manual from the Suzuki website to work through the settings and learn to use the system by feel. So far we've been able to set up wireless Apple Car Play and turn off all the sat nav warnings which yell at us whenever it thinks we're about to run a stop sign or drive through the Yokohama Harbour, but as far as sat nav goes it's just apps from our phone for now. I'm looking into units from Kenwood and Alpine which should be drop in replacements that maintain 360 camera functions but we're looking at +$2,000 AUD for this unit atm. Not a cheap one! I have seen the ATOTO S8 swapped into the Spacia Customs... I imagine that it should work in the Gear, but it did stick out of the dash maybe 10-15mm

We HAVE had it on the highway, with 4 people in the car. It's pretty stable, not as good on fuel at 110km/h as it is at 80km/h but that's to be expected. However, a massive crosswind with a big flat surface and skinny tires means you need to pay attention to the road a bit more. In short, it'll do it, just not it's favourite thing to do.

I’m so sorry I only just saw this! KZfaq didn’t alert me to the comment. At this point in time I’ve had no encounters with inclement weather, so I can’t say from personal experience. HOWEVER. If you watch the KZfaq channel @dntn24 you can go back a year in his channel and see him camping in a 4WD Spacia in all types of conditions, including snow! I don’t think it would fare as well as a Jimny, as it doesn’t have the height, and it’s not a 4WD you can force to engage, but it does kick in when necessary.

@@onemanfrancool! Ours is 4WD and slightly higher than usual, but still not as high as a Jimny.

There’s no SD card slot, but also this car isn’t sold in an English speaking country, so even if there was an SD card slot, there’s no English firmware for the nav unit for this vehicle. The maps in these nav units is delivered alongside Over The Air updates (via wifi or USB) to their internal storage and is paired with the firmware version.

No need for tyres yet, but shouldn’t be too difficult as I have a couple boutique tyre joints that I get track tyres through who have assured me they can get fresh rubber for me.

Also, how does the car drive in our Aussie road? Is it scary to drive it at highway speed ?

We still can't drive it yet due to Govt not releasing import plates. Will be doing a full review at ~400kms! As far as if you can use it as a camper, you can! There's a great youtuber in Japan who was using a Spacia Gear as a camper for a couple years, they've now upgraded to a Jimny for more off-roading. Their YT name is @dntn24. Oh wow, I didn't think anyone would watch this! Thank you :) Landed and registered it's looking to be ~$28,000. Just shy of $30K I think. We were able to afford it from my partner's insurance payout and some savings, her parents helped out a little too. We still can't drive it yet due to Govt not releasing import plates.
