Honestly I just needed to make a video so I decided to go over some of the things that make the CVO Street Glide special. I know I left some features out... no doubt. Some of the features I discuss are-
117 Motor
Rockford Fosgate Audio
Charred Chrome finish
Blue Steel paint scheme
Remote locking bags
Adaptive headlight
Alcantara leather seat
and more
Let me know what you guys think of this style review/walkthrough.

Love the color.. probably the only color I like this year on the CVO's .. but with out the extended bags I'd be out.. extended bags are a must have if I'm buying a CVO

Did you research why they put short bags on? Its for the racing scene, Like the ST models. The green one orange ones have the extended bags.

The quality of this Video is at Pro level: in particular the use of Light. Congrats. By the way: I bought this bike. When I saw live this Blue Steel color associated with that scorched chrome I understood it was something unique and stunning and I pulled the trigger. One last comment: extended saddlebags are starting to be old style. I prefer this shorter model not just from a design perspective but for a practical reason as well: I can use a 2 into 1 exhaust system without having a "hole" under the left saddlebag or needing to add a dummy muffler.

I bet they are saving the big engine upgrades for the 120th anniversary next year. They would have left in the 117 this year to save costs.. plus as we know parts are hard to get now days. So I 100% agree with their decision to leave the 117 in for this year.. Hopefully the 2023 models will have lots of new colors and a bigger engine.

Thanks for making this video and explaining what makes this year's CVOs different. And haha at your peacock. Hands down, this is my fave CVO of '22. That charred chrome is gorgeous, as is the Blue Steel. One thing I don't understand is why H-D only puts rear crash protection on the Road King Standard and the Limited models. You'd think they'd do it across the Touring range, and especially on the CVOs. Question: at highway speeds, do you have a preference between Road Glide and Street Glide fairings? Thanks, Chad - well done!
@thehdguy378
@thehdguy378 2 жыл бұрын
In my opinion the bag guards take away from the look. I don’t have a preference when it comes to highway speeds but I think the road glide handles better when hitting winding roads.

Such a sick bike. Thinking about trading in this year but I’m so torn on which bike to get. I have a deposit down on a low rider st… but the st baggers or even a cvo look so appealing. Really not sure what direction I should go… money aside, which one would you choose?
@thehdguy378
@thehdguy378 2 жыл бұрын
If money were no object I’d choose a CVO. I’m kind of flashy but I can’t afford a CVO. It has all of the performance I need and honestly if I have the budget for a CVO I could spend $10-$12k tricking out an old Dyna and also have my performance ride. Not many people want to push a $30k motorcycle (ST model) to its limits.

I’m not certain that you’re correct or incorrect. But I do know that if you lean to the left it illuminates the left side of the road. The direction you’re leaning. Pretty sure it also lights up the left side of the headlight.

Buy yourself a street glide special upgrade your radio and speakers put Kahuna floorboards and hadgrips then stage 2 kit and slipons and it will be pretty close to a Cvo and save yourself about $10,000 your basically paying that much more for the paint job and a little bigger motor .?? Not worth the Cvo price

🛑🛑 From a CVO Owner from up North that has Heated Grips…”your on Crack” if you think Hand Guards are Better than Heat Grips. 😂💯 I’ve ridden in some of the coldest mornings with No Gloves, with my Grips on 3.5 and could barely tell it was Cold Out. If you want Comfort, invest in Heated Grips and a Heated Seat. This combination will extent your riding season, and overall comfort for you and your passenger. 🤷‍♂️💯
@thehdguy378
@thehdguy378 2 жыл бұрын
Heated seats also do nothing compared to a good set of riding pants and thermals. Just like heated grips, you’re warming your hands from inside out. The threat to your hands staying toasty comes from the front (on the outside). Preventing cold air from even getting to your hands will always reign supreme. Now, if you’ve got the stock bars on your street glide CVO then you’ll be fine. Your hands are still comfortably behind the fairing. Once you add bars to the equation heated grips just aren’t enough. If you’re from up north you don’t actually ride in cold weather. You’re too afraid of salt corroding your bike. Something tells me you’ve never ridden with hand guards! Or anything other than a Harley 😒

@@thehdguy378 If I would be HD, I would offer my bikes - without extra costs - in a variety of options. They do so in e.g. offering chrome and black trim. So why not let the customer decide if he wants stretched bags or not on the bike he orders? I mean it’s the same production run, I guess, it can’t bother HD if they put this or that kind of bags on a bagger - all the mounting etc. is the same and they produce all kind of bags anyway. One can customize nearly any car in this modular way. So why not a bike for 30.000+ Euros? That doesn’t fit the time!

Gorgeous bike that's it. Gold wing DCT is the pennacle of luxury. No walking forward/reverse, no gear driven primary, no electric windshield, no self adjusting hydraulic lifters, no led lights all around. Handle bar mounted fairings are scary on a windy highway. $10,000 more that a Gold Wing DCT tour with trunk, ridiculous.

Totally different machine. I owned 3 Goldwing's and reliability is second to none as is the boredom. If you want a big scooter that shifts itself and sounds like a sewing machine, that's for you. You can't beat the look, feel and sound of a HD, plus the customization is limitless.
@busterbrown1686
@busterbrown1686 2 жыл бұрын
@@larrypontelandolfo9304 I agree the looks and sound of a Harley is very intoxicating. My Goldwing doesn't sound like a sewing machine. My 2012 Victory Cross country did until I put Vance and Hines pipes on it, and sounds like a Harley, it's V-twin. It's because of the very dependable gear driven primary opposed to Harley's chain, which will destoy the enginge if it's not serviced early.The drone of the upgraded pipes on the highway gets on my nerves, I can't hear the radio. You need to ride the 2022 DCT and understand and maybe you'll some day own a Harley and DCT Gold wing, best of both worlds. Yes my Vic has pimped me like all bikes for over $30,000. Diamond cut fins, Custom seat, 23' wheel, stage 1,2,3 etc. and the GW will gap it by many bikes. GW will gap your Harley no matter what you do and DEPENDABLE. There are problems with the Milwaukee 8, (oil leak into cylinders) which was copied from my Victory. 4 vales per cylinder. Yes at age 57 it's time to enjoy a automatic CADILLAC.Be safe bro
