@@chorpelo The Tacoma Pro has always had a MT Option. The Sport and Off Road also come in MT and in 2016 and 2017 you could get the 5 Speed MT in the SR Trim.

Hey Toyota! Tacoma owner here. Love you guys. But.. for how much more the pro costs than the base model, you should offer an upgrade in power! 278 horsepower is fine. No complaints. But with how reliable that engine is, there should be a supercharger! And I know I'm not the only one who thinks that. Thanks for listening

They hold their value. I paid 31.5k plus fees, just under 35k out the door for my 2018. 27 months later my local dealer offered me 32.5k with 24k miles.

Should DEFINITELY be a 2.5 inch lift. I have a TRD Sport on a 2.5 inch Bilstein 6112/5160 lift and she rides wonderfully on and offroad.

Relative to base model...sr5. That is .5 inch more lift up from last year (in front only. No change to rear)

@@grantfawson9675 Almost but Not quite. Compared to previous trd pro for 2022 the only change is .5 inch more lift in front. No change to rear. 2022 1.5 front and 0.5 rear. 2021 1.0 front and 0.5 rear.

Confidence inspiring six speed automatic? Yeah, as long as you don't mind the constant gear hunting. I'd like to try a Hilux diesel to see if it's as bad. Unfortunately, Toyota seems to think that the US market doesn't need the diesel.

it's the emissions. US diesel emissions are more strict than other parts of the world and have lesser quality of diesel makes it worse. The money for R&D to pass emissions is just not worth it to Toyota. Toyota is not here to have a vehicle for everyone, they're here to make a large profit for each vehicle, a small margin for a niche crowd with low sales is not worth it. That being said, in 2019 Toyota patented a US high compression technology for diesels that doesn't require emissions equipment to pass emissions. So maybe in a few years?
