I'm from Kuwait, I passed my driving test there, then I bought a 2022 Toyota RAV4 in white, which didn't have sunroof, front sensors, cruise control, or push-button start, that's why I prefer keys instead of smart keys. Overall, the car was excellent, just like sedans and hatchbacks.

The front edge of the hood of the bonnet not flushing in with the top of the front grill in Toyotas is a design failure in my mind and have been so for many years. The hood ending before it meets the grill and leaving that conspicuous break line running across the front needs to be done away with. Dunno who's design idea that has been but it always gets me.

Pricing is correct as of September 2022 when this review was first published, but if listed before on-road costs so additional charged (which vary by location) like dealer delivery, stamp duty, and on-road costs need to be added on top. Since this review was first published Toyota has raised prices (in late November 2022) so the best bet for the latest pricing is to check with your local Toyota dealer.

Access to Apple CarPlay is wireless, but Android Auto is via a wired connection only.

Nice Toyota paid ad. Not many car companies would try to entice customers to buy the basic model. It’s the only car they can produce in less than 6 months.

Private buyers love them. So what if - just a thought - private individuals actually like these vehicles, as well as auto reviewers? Because nobody is bribing mum and dad soccer parent to buy them. And I doubt many car buyers watch car channels for info, they just buy what they like. And today's "base model" has so much kit, often the mid and top spec models are largely cosmetic/convenience features, not true "needs"

This gen Toyota RAV4 overpriced and got so many problems like roof water leak, gas tank issue, transmission issues and engine failure. Toyota dealership not fixing those problems under five years limited warranty. Toyota is not a reliable car brand anymore. Save your money and keep your old vehicle.
