This is a great video. I think the only thing I hate about car manufacturers is that they make the powered lift gates on higher trims when it should just be standard.
@brianruperti Жыл бұрын
Thank you. I think everything should just be standard. But there are tons of people who hate electronic options because they don’t want to pay to fix them.

@@brianruperti I also wanted to ask. I work for Labcorp and my new car I’m going to be getting that’s one it’s way is a 2022 RAV4 Hybrid and on our MAP book that is with the car that we use when we take it in for service, every interval it asks to check if the driver side floor mat is secure and in place, I just have to ask, what’s so special about the driver side floor mat?
@brianruperti Жыл бұрын
Great question. Many years ago, there was a very unfortunate issue with floor mats unhooking and blocking the brake pedal, preventing braking. This has been remedied with *locking floor mats, so it has been Toyota’s duty to always check and educate customers how to properly lock them to the floor so the issue never happens again.
@Omilogic Жыл бұрын
@@brianruperti oh I see! I don’t remember hearing about that! But that definitely makes sense to ensure that it’s locked in place. I thought a critical part of the car was located under the driver side floor board.
@brianruperti Жыл бұрын
Nope just the mats. When you remove them to vacuum triple check they’re locked properly and you’re good to go!

Awesome Brian, I’m slowly getting it with the infotainment cockpit and MID in my new vehicle. If ya ever in NZ I’ll take ya for a spin in the vehicle.

They should have offered the Power driver seat on the base trim.

Brian, excellent tutorial. A question. You were speaking about AWD but your review was Hybrid LE. I can get a Hybrid LE or XLE WITHOUT AWD. Correct?
@brianruperti2 жыл бұрын
Thank you. I believe in southern regions they offer FWD. Please check the links in the comments or description for the Toyota build sheet on this car.

I watched some of your videos and this is a great tutorial @Brian Ruperti! I have some questions: 1. What is the difference between ECO mode and EV mode? Do they just both use less gas and more from the battery? 2. If you are in EV mode, but accelerate to highway speed, does the gas engine kick and automatically go back to Normal Mode? 3. Is the Lane Assist only active during the Cruise Control? Can you take your hands off the steering wheel? Thanks so much!
@brianruperti Жыл бұрын
Thank you! Eco mode enhances mpg for both gas engine driving and electric driving. Makes your more ECOnomical. EV mode keeps the engine off making you an EV (when it can) Yes EV mode turns off at higher speeds. Unless you drive a PRIME. Lane departure alert is active at all times but lane trace assist (lane centering) is active during cruise control only. You do not want to take hands off the wheel. It’s simply an assistance feature. Not self driving. I hope this helps

@@brianruperti Thank you! I am planning to get a RAV4 Hybrid in the near future and this helps a lot!

So glad to help! The XLE with the weather package and convenient package is the most popular. If you live in an area with cold winters that’s a great car.

@@brianruperti Thanks! I do live in an area with cold winters and heated seats do seem very enticing, haha!
