2 жыл бұрынWith race day coming up, I wanted to see what 0-60 time my 2022 Toyota Tundra TRD PRO would put up. Using the GPS race timer app, the time posted is impressive! On race day, we will be at Houston Raceway Park to confirm the accuracy of both the app and the time.
Plus a sneak peak into some of the vehicles joining us for some fun at Houston Raceway Park.

I don't know what the 0-60 is in my TRD Pro, but the other day I switched it into sport mode to get onto a busy road. Had some tire spin and the power just pushes you back into the seat. I absolutely love driving my truck. Thanks for the video!

Sport made definitely makes a difference. On the dyno video, we initially did the pulls in normal mode. It was sport mode that put out the highest numbers 😎.

Definitely coming up! I was going to post an overview of the integrated dash cam but none of the footage I recorded was saved. Found out there is a required software update from Toyota which I will be doing tomorrow. Once it’s updated, I will collect some footage and then post a detailed review of it. Looks like I might miss the 2022 model but will be in line for the 2023 Pro. I’ll be itching to get through that break in period to I can do similar pulls.

Sounds great Jason! I'll be posting a video later encouraging those wanting a TRD Pro not to give up and keep calling around. Reason why is Fred Haas reached out to me recently stating they had Lunar Rock TRD PRO Tundra that came in and everyone on the list kept passing up for a different color. Some random lucky guy who wasn't on the list bought it within 5 minutes haha.

This is the first I've seen at around 6 seconds. All the others have had the truck at 6.8-7.4 seconds.

Hey Michael, do these guys logging 6.8-7.4 have the hybrid or non-hybrid motor? But as far as the 0-60 & quarter mile time we hopefully can confirm it this Friday.

@@TristanGrimaldo I believe it was the hybrid. 6.8 seconds. The non hybrid was 7.4 seconds.

Probably should use a dragy or something similar over an app. But I’ve seen 6-7 sec. 0-60s for the hybrid which isn’t bad.

Thank you John! Just looked into and seems to be a more reliable option. I'll definitely be picking one up and will re-shoot this 0-60. By then I'll have the drag strip times to compare for accuracy.

Hey I saw the contact info for Fred Haas Toyota. Do they have markups on their TRD PROs?

Hey Gianni, it’s fairly difficult to find a TRD Pro without a markup. However, their mark up i significantly less compared to come other dealerships. I only paid a $5k markup and recently have seen mark up on TRD Pros for $15-20k. I would contact Bradley, tell him you got his info from my video and see if there is anything he can do to help you. I mentioned in the comments here that people kept passing up on a TRD pro lunar rock and some guy bought it and wasn’t even on the allocation list. So you can get lucky

Will you do some mods to get a 5 sec 0-60? if yes, what mods?

Great question! The only experience I have with a v6 twin turbo platform is my F150 Ecoboost. The mods I had on that truck included the following: 1. Full Race intercooler kit + Tial BOV 2. down pipe 3. exhaust 4. intake 5. meth 6. tune 7. upgraded turbos It put out a little over 400hp and about 690lbs of torque to the wheels. If I end up modifying the TRD Pro, I may follow the same formula. My only concern is how to incorporate the hybrid system. I have personally never modified a hybrid before lol. Hopefully TRD and Toyota develop some performance parts for this truck because ideally, I would want to keep everything Toyota.

I personally feel like it comes leveled. The stance looks solid in my opinion and don’t plan on lifting it. I still want to be able to make it into parking garages 😁

Hey Tristan do u have a noice when u go over bumps or railroad tracks coming from the back …my 2022 trd pro does I noticed rite when I left the dealership and they told me there is an open case and a guy with a sr5 trim is doing it also drive with your radio off and pay attention if u hear a noise.. let me know thanks man As of now I’m not putting my wheels on cause they would use that excuse saying it is I’ll def have them on what this is resolved…I’m bring it back on Aug 30 and that other guy is dropping his truck off… There will be 2 guys coming from Toyota to look at it and from what I heard there gonna remove the bed on both trucks and drive and see if they still hear it

Hey Paul. I’m sorry to hear about your recent troubles. I’m confident Toyota and their engineers can resolve it. My advice would be not to overlook the spare tire chain that hangs down. That made a “clank” noise when I went over a bump but hasn’t been an issue since I secured it. Keep me posted

@@TristanGrimaldo I will it’s def not the chain or spare tire cause I checked that also …the dealership believes could be from the bed area or underneath the bed they said an sr5 has the same problem and I’m bringing my trd pro back there Aug 30 and the sr5 will be there also …supposed to be a few Toyota guys I think engineers to over look it since it’s 2 now and prb more out there….shitty part too I have my 22” fuel rebel wheels sitting in my car ant install them yet only after the issue is resolved 🤷🏻♂️ 🤦🏻♂️

@@TristanGrimaldo matte black 22x10 -13 offset tires nitto recon grappler 285/55r22 I already did the silver/red lettering on tailgate “trd pro “ did also the trd performance air filters very easy to install…I had the dealer install the trd cast aluminum running boards and the bed step…gonna tint front windows match the back on Aug z25 …then once all the bs is done slapping the wheels on my truck…I’m looking rite to find a 1” leveling kit for the trd pro …the front is lowered 3/4” then the back so 1” would raise the front and be 1/4” higher then the back which will be good if u know anyone that sells them let me know thanks bro

Nice blueprint for the Tundra! How do you like the TRD aluminum cast running boards? Im eventually going to switch to those. And I’ll let you know when I find an ideal leveling kit. By the way we got rained out for the drag race video so shooting for next weekend.

Uou say app is sucks, try going to Keating Toyota in Manvel! They want 140K for trd pro 😂, before taxes and any type of warranty 🤦🏻♂️
