I would love for you to review the Roscoe 7. I think the pricepoint makes more sense since there isn't many decent FS bikes at that price, witch there is at 2800 euro.

You've got a point there! I don't get to chose which bike to test unfortunately, but I will make sure to mention and compare the different versions in the upcoming Roscoe vs Fuse-video. 👍

So what you're really saying is if we want a precise review we're going to need to read the spec sheet ? Oh cool .😏 Ps: The Roscoe spanks the Fuse' s derriere. Close comp with the Rocky MTN Growler. Good day mate. Cheers👍

You mentioned the front end of this bike is tall. I have one and I agree with your assessment. I'm thinking of swapping forks on this bike, taking the 140mm off and installing a 120mm. Do you think this would be a good idea for this bike? Trying to make it a bit more stable... Thanks for your videos!
@MTBs25 күн бұрын
No, I don't think it's a great idea. The HT angle will increase which also affects the stability negatively. If it's more front tyre pressure you are after I think you are better off removing spacers (if there are any) or getting a slightly longer stem which also will help with stability. That's also cheap changes which doesn't hurt as much if it doesn't work out.

Where did you get one in Sweden. I have been on The waiting list for 4months now and the store thinks it Will arrive in August ☹️
@MTBs2 жыл бұрын
This is a demo bike from Trek Sweden, so it is not mine. I think in general, your best bet is to see if any store did buy any Roscoes to their stock. I know that the 2022 Top Fuel has got a long waiting list too, but there are a few out there in the stores. Good luck! 👍

Hi. Thanks for the video ! I am 179 cm with a 83 cm inseam. I have tried this bike in M/L and L and very hard to choose. M/L will be much more playfull but not as stable as the L one. What would you recommend ? Cheers

Hi! That's impossible for me to say to be honest. I personally like bigger bikes better since they give me more confidence to try steeper and gnarlier trails, but others prefer the opposite to have a more nimble character. Sorry...

Great review! Looking forward to your comparison video. Do you think the Roscoe could work well with 27.5+ wheelset?
@MTBs2 жыл бұрын
Thank you! Didn't the old Roscoe come with 27.5+ wheels and 40 mm rims? Is it for riding in snow? I don't see why it shouldn't work, but I personally think 29:ers and almost (2.6) plus wheels is a good middle-ground choice that would be faster to pedal on the flats and ups. I would double check the width though so the tyre won't get to close to the chainstays (near the seat tube).
@HEYDJ2 жыл бұрын
@@MTBs thanks for the reply! Yes, for light snow hopefully but also for standover. Medium's reach is perfect for me but the standover's a little high.
@DirtNassty2 жыл бұрын
All Roscoe's have always been the 27.5+ until now lol They went to a 29 and 2.6 this time around for good reasons.

Hey mate how’s the sizing on these roscoes? When in between sizes should I size up or down?
@MTBs2 жыл бұрын
Hi! It is always very difficult to give advice on sizing. Personal preferences... I find the sizing (from Trek) is pretty spot on for the Roscoes. But one thing to remember when looking at the reach for example, is that the seat post angle is pretty steep so you could probably go up a size in reach and still sit comfortably.
@diverbelow272 жыл бұрын
I feel the size large looks a bit small on your height. I will probably go for an XL and I am 6’1 (185 cm too )
@Mike-up6go2 жыл бұрын
@@diverbelow27 I am right at 186 cm. Same issues. Tried the L and XL sizes and found the XL way more comfortable. The reach on the XL is 495 mm and 470mm on the L. I found the L size too cramped for me and seat up too high with too much weight over the handlebars. My arms are somewhat longer then most at my height and the XL was the fit I needed. I only gained 1cm in standover going from the L to the XL so that was not an issue. Still had a bit of inseam to spare. On the Roscoes, I believe most will size up if you find yourself at the upper end of one size and at the bottom end of the next .
@diverbelow272 жыл бұрын
@@Mike-up6go I am 6'1 ( 185 cm ) bought the XL. Perfect size for me . Totally sharing the same view
@MTBs2 жыл бұрын
I would just like to add to the discussion that I too feel cramped when sitting down. Good position for climbing, but not for riding on the flats. But when standing up I feel that the shortish reach doesn't matter that much and I liked how it felt in the descents. I suspect that Trek deliberately went for this sizing because this is a bike that is meant for playing around with in the descents. In short, I feel that I am in between sizes with my 185 cm. I could go either with a L or XL, but I usually prefer 480 to 485 in reach.

Sounds more like a component or shifting problem than a specifik Roscoe problem. Sorry for the blunt question, but do you know how to shift gears properly?

If I understand you correctly it seems as if you are an experienced rider. I guess it is a Shimano Deore on the 2021 Roscoe? Pretty solid from my experience, but a 12 speed will never be as durable as a 9 or 10 speed. Again, it's the same components as with many other bikes so other than alignment issues I think it is more about weak components.
