I started by pulling all my blankets and pillow covers out of the living room and washing them, then I watched your video. I didn't decorate very much for Christmas so, I'll go in now and pull all the decorations.

I did clean out christmas before new years eve this year. Me and my kids have decluttered our wardrobes and when I was at it I did my bedroom and the kitchen as well. Feels good to start the new year with things we really love and use!

Loved your real down to earth real life mama cleaning videos! You are Awesome❤️. I’m a homeschool mama to 6, (graduated first born in 2021). Business owner & I’ve been really working hard on decluttering & simplifying the last 6 months, it feels great but I still have so far to. My Tree🎄is still up and it just showed today so I’m okay with it☃️😁. I didn’t decorate much of anything else for Christmas other than my fire place mantle & my tree has white flowers & burlap & white ribbon, it’s very wintery. Last year I was in a huge plaid mode😂. Plaid tree, plaid table cloth etc…I couldn’t deal past Christmas almost. Lol. Keep rocking your channel!!! You’re doing great!

When my children were small I would put on a load of laundry as they were eating breakfast, transfer it to the dryer when they were playing then fold it when they ate lunch, and put it away when my husband was home and they played together before bath time. Little and often means you keep on top of things, as they get older I kept the same schedule. They still live at home with us they are 29 and 24, and I still do one wash every day, it never becomes overwhelming. Great job lovely

We’re in such a busy season of life that makes that kind of schedule feel impossible for me. We’re not home every single day & constantly on the go.

I felt every bit of this! That’s how I clean too: start in one area, get distracted by another area and work on that, then go back! Or I get totally overwhelmed by the mess: like taking down all the Christmas decor this season 😩 But you’re so right! It feels so good once it’s all done! It’s a huge win and deserves a victory dance! My kitchen table is the catch all! It’s awful since that’s where we eat, homeschool, etc. I have to keep moving stuff around lol Thank you for sharing!! Loved this video and I’m totally ready to get some cleaning done at this moment - at 10:40 at night 😬🤦♀️ LOL

I usually do the HUGE clean and declutter twice a year (just before Christmas so in our Summer & June in our Winter). I do big cleans every week of course and trey to keep on top of clutter etc but twice a year take a box into every room and get rid of anything not wanted/not worn/not used etc. Having said that and given the past 2 years with lockdowns and the Covid situation I have probably done it every couple of months to do something to occupy myself. I must say I love how I am living with less "Stuff". It helps not having kids as we accumulate much less stuff.

I declutter often, but I also find myself purchasing new just as fast as I declutter old. I’m trying to break that habit in 2022

@@lovinglifeasmegan A good rule I have tried with success is 3 out 1 in so for every 3 items I donate or dump I can replace with 1 item. I also decided only replace with stuff I need- although it is questionable just how many cushions I need on my bed since my sofa is overflowing with them.😂😂

I spent most of today cleaning and getting a fresh start for the new year. My son came over and took all the bins of Christmas decor downstairs and stored it away.

Great job! I had a day like this on Saturday and while it is exhausting, and things still aren't perfect, it sure does feel good to have a clean slate again. Videos like yours are just the motivation I need to push me into another day of cleaning to wrap up the unfinished stuff that will put the house finally back in pre-holiday order so thank you so much for taking the time to make them!

My husband (of decades) sees flat surfaces as places to fill..the dining room table falls victim to not just clutter, but piles of it! I have been decluttering myself. it just feels good to start each new year with the house lighter😊

Loved watching your video. I feel between your’s and Jamie’s videos they will give me the motivation to finish cleaning my house tomorrow. It has taken me two days to get decor down and I still gave a few to do outside. I will be able to clean tomorrow and Tuesday to finish.

The furniture came in so slowly, so there’s no footage for a makeover 😩 I was decorating for Christmas while changing all of the furniture so it was too overwhelming to even think about filming it all

I clicked on Amazon so fast and got a wrapping paper organization tote! Big messes are overwhelming for sure, great work tacking it. I didn’t get into the decorating as much this year. I only put up the living room tree and some small decorations throughout my home. It was easy to put away too, 😂 I definitely need to declutter and will be working on some neglected spaces this month! Cheers to a wonderful 2022 and keeping our homes happy, healthy, wealthy and lived in!

Yes our kitchen table becomes a collect all space. The top of my dresser does too. I think it collects a lot bc I sit stuff down there that I don’t know what to do with or I think I’ll find a spot for this later & then 3 weeks later it’s still there lol. I convince myself it’s better than the floor.

Girl, you make taking down Christmas decor look sooo easy and organized! When u do it... it looks like a bomb when off in the house! Nothing goes smoothly over here! And, I won't even begin to shed light on my Rae Dunn decor!🤦♀️ I do know the storage you showed from the Container Store...I'm sooo going to have to invest in!! I bet I own stock on a paper mill as much as I wrap! That's the worst part! I sooo need to start the decluttering phase in my house this month! It's so daunting! Kitchen table is definitely my catch all and kitchen counter. I have a small house for having 3 kids and one on the way that it's so hard for me to keep up. But definitely thinking about Decluttering before my baby comes

That's the reason I got rid of my kitchen table. We didn't use it.. and all I seemed to do was clean it off over and over.... since it was right there when you walked in from outside. much better now it's gone lol

We eat at our table, so I definitely couldn’t get rid of it. But I am considering looking for a smaller table 😊

My dinning room is the catch all room. We come enter and exit our house through the kitchen door so when we come home we come in through the kitchen and head straight into the dinning room and drop everything. I finally got it all cleaned up and we are back to eating meals in the dinning room. Well at least for now we are. 😊

Thank you! These are my favorite types of videos to watch, with actual FAST cleaning! I had over 6 hours of raw footage for this video & it only gave me a 22 min video…I can’t imagine how much I would need for an 8 hour video 😅
