Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid bike review.

It proved the perfect proving ground for the Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid, a motorcycle designed to be a new and improved version of the standard Tenere 700.
So what's new for 2022? Well, this isn't a completely new model. The engine and chassis remain the same but the Tenere World Raid features a larger fuel tank, better suspension, more ground clearance, a larger screen, and an all-new TFT display. But it also has a taller seat height, it's heavier, and it costs almost £2,000 more.
So, is the Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid better than the Tenere 700? Is it worth the upgrade if you're a current Tenere owner? And which should you choose if you're buying one of these adventure bikes for the first time?

great video thanks ! best ive seen on the bike (although you almost blew my laptop speakers as I had to turn the voice up then music came in at a much higher level!).

Thinking off getting one as a second bike I currently have a 1250gs but off road I just find it to big and heavy but love the bike hence not wanting to sell also have a ktm 300 tpi but riding from chesterfield to Buxton it’s just too far away for it so selling the ktm to get this Yamaha exited 🎉

Yamaha Dealer says good luck to get the 700 and the World Raid 2 years away at least. I'm looking into other manufacturers.

If not using it as a Rally bike, but rather as a long distance adventure bike, the glaring omission is cruise control. Just did 7,000 miles NJ to CA round trip on my GS. Combination pavement and dirt, which is what I imagine this T7 World Raid would be targeted at. Without cruise control the long highway sections between the dirt sections would have been much less comfortable.

I got the WR with throttle lock. Same job

@@nemerkha I had a throttle lock on my 2012 Multistrada. It’s helpful but not the same as cruise control. Constant throttle is not the same as constant speed.

@@JimGoryeb i had CC on my tracer 9gt. I only used that on long runs to shake my wrist a bit every now and again. For me, the throttle lock does the same. I don’t personally sit hours at a time on autopilot - besides, it’s bad for the engine. What am trying to say is the it’s definitely not a deal breaker.

What rally races are you speaking about? I am not aware of any for this class/displacement of bikes?

I have yet to see either model in any Yamaha dealership I visit......or on the road....what up Yamaha ? Build a few more for the American market........
