It already is you. Civil asset forfeiture has been happening to American citizens for decades. The point of this video is that America is doing it against foreign governments now--and against the citizens of those countries whose only crime is to be a citizen of said country.

The biggest parasite the world has ever seen. Loots/seizes in wars, loots in operations without declaring war. Makes financial wars and blockades. Anything to keep the $ as dominant currency so America can "print" more money and at the same time depletes the value of other economies and it is in effect like a taxation of the world while printing new money for themselves by the push of a button.

In the 80s and 90s I used to trade directly with governments around the world, buying and selling particular commodities. Every single transaction handled by the Soviet Union, Warsaw Pact countries and The People's Republic of China that I was involved in went absolutely smoothly and honourably. The one entity I would never do business with was the US government and their agencies because they enjoyed a global reputation for being dishonourable, mendacious and unscrupulous. The only thing that has changed is the US has become even more creative at lying and thieving from others.

Worked for a German/Swiss company, found out the senior and regional directors all had little scams running on the side involving the company being forced to use only certain shipping companies, from which they received kickbacks, or buying from only certain sub-contractors, again with kickbacks. I've always know for decades USA is into stealing, only this time is in the open like what they're doing in Syria USA loots 83% of Syria's daily crude oil production, that’s 66,000 barrels per day. Since the illegal US invasion in 2011 it has stolen $105 BILLIONS from Syria. A 40-truck US Convoy loaded with STOLEN wheat was smuggled out of Syria into US bases in Iraq. One tractor trailer of wheat yields 42,000 loaves of bread worth over $100,000

I don't think you're looking at this the right way but I could be wrong depending on your definition of the word "America". If your definition of "America" is "the land of the free and the home of the brave" then yes you're absolutely correct in saying it's sad to see America crumble before our very eyes. HOWEVER, If you're defining America is the internationally oppressive, bully of the modern world then the EXACT opposite is the case. That America is not going to crumble at any point in the near future. It's constantly becoming more and more powerful as the decision makers that run the country become more and more morally bankrupt. Eventually, without even realizing it, America will actually become the BIGGEST Terrorist Country in the entire world... and like the principle behind "boiling a frog", the progression from what America once was and represented, to the monster it will eventually become, would be so slow and gradual that the whole world will be in denial and just continue to bury their heads in the sand and pretend that America is a great country when in fact it has become a disgrace to the entire human race by every imaginable metric.

Forgotten in the memory hole is that this law was used extensively to steal cars from African Amiericans in the 1990s to early 2000s. Wash Post did a 6 or 7 part series on it. They'd set speed traps, go 5 MPH over and they'd rob black travelers, and yes, use the money from selling it to beef up their weapons in their budget so they could look militarized and scary. It was rooted in the same kind of contemptuous racism we see now toward the Russans, Afghanees, Syrians, and Chinese. I'm surprised Gonzalo didn't mention this.

Great update Gonzalo. ‘piracy’ is alive and well. Anybody with a brain needs to work out what other avenues there are trying to use ‘Swift mechanism’ to move money / assets to keep it for themselves and use it as they see fit. Well done Gonzalo for bringing this up.

Everything must die in its time. A society or even a civilization is no exception. This idea cuts right across the accepted noble lie, that we all, like little children, do believe. So now that you know the truth, you can see the world for what it really is. How do we know that a nation, a society, a political system is near its final breath? It starts experiencing a series of changes that reduce its ability to stay alive, and the effect of those changes is cumulative. Their time horizon gets shorter and shorter, not only objectively, but also subjectively as well, and short term goals begin to crowd out all other considerations. While the ongoing events with the USA are good example of the above mentioned observation, it would be no different than dancing on a grave, to somehow imagine that they will be the first, or the last nation to go through the sunset. Every one will.

Few years ago, while driving south through Nevada, I got pulled over by their state police. They clocked me going 75mph in a 70mph zone, while they were driving in the opposite direction,, and actually turned around and chased me to pull me over. One of the questions they asked was "do you have a large amount of money with you?". I replied "what is a large amount? I have about $800". The cop made a face like he just bit into a lemon. Apparently they look for cars to stop and rob anyone with a large amount of cash. Yea, rob. It is nothing but highway robbery.

When I visited the US a lot in 90s, I was always asked how I was paying for my trip as I crossed the border from Canada. Luckly my Dad had made me get a card that worked in the US as well as Canada for my trips. And he taught me to never disclose that I had cash.... to anyone. And I live in the greater Vancouver area in BC Canada. This will probably crash the housing market even harder than the interest rate hikes as there is a ton of Chinese money in Vancouver real estate.

Unfortunately, Russia has already made one step that may disqualify it from the "Safe Haven" status. I mean RF Presidential Decree No. 943 enacted at the end of last year. It was specifically targeting OMV and Wintershall Dea that previously invested in development of the gas fields in Siberia. This Decree effectively took away their profit not only forward until October 2023 but also retroactively for one year... Thus taking away investors' dividends and profits and directing it to Gazprom. Though the assets itself were not taken away, but the blow was so significant that Wintershall after 35 years of cooperation with Gazprom, almost immediately announced that they're leaving Russia.
