I live in the United States. I wish people around the world could see how bad it is here. Listen, on average, the United States has about two mass shootings a day. Yesterday a couple towns over from me the police had a standoff with an armed man next to a crowded mall. A few months ago there was a shooting at that same mall. Aside from the shootings, there are people here that die instead of going to the hospital because the medical debt would financially ruin them. The educational system here is terrible. Teachers are overwhelmed and are quitting. Public transportation is abysmal, the roads are cracked and full of potholes in the state I live, and there are entire settlements of homeless people in this country. My husband and I both work full time jobs, twelve hour days, and we can only afford one car. Not to mention the astronomical amount of people here on anti depressants and anti anxiety medication. It's extremely expensive to live here for a sub-par life. Meanwhile the elite sit in their ivory towers and tell us that all of this is the price to pay for living in the "bEsT cOuNtRy iN tHe wOrLd".

Leggiebeans, we watch news videos daily from the US that just seem to be full of violence, lawlessness ,hate and fear. As an American how do you guys see the future of your country? I ask because it seems to get worse every day and doesn't look like it's going to get better any time soon.
@Leggiebeans
@Leggiebeans Жыл бұрын
@@wernerrojo7321 there is a lot of fear . I hope I don't seem like I'm exaggerating, but I get nervous when I go out grocery shopping. There could be a shooting at the Walmart or Target I go to. It could happen anywhere anytime. It is also smart to carry pepper spray everywhere - I was almost in a kidnap situation a few years ago. Just because I was walking alone, in broad daylight. Fear of gang violence, of mentally ill people with guns, of the woke mob, of QAnon crazies. I've looked at the statistics - the United States is getting more and more violent. In my opinion, from observing people out in public, people are in general tense and untrusting. The American people are so brainwashed in general too. They cling to Fox news or CNN and are positively rabid about identity politics. Other people shrug and say "there's nothing we can do." I am fully expecting our economy to collapse, and the elites to escape to other countries while this country burns and descends into even more crime.

As the old saying goes, "generals always prepare for the last war" - and this apparently applies to current western leaders as well. But the world has changed: The US is no longer that benevolent beacon of democracy we used to know and admire; it is now a warmongering, toxic, bullying plutocracy in serious decline and practically at war with itself. This is why it is quickly losing the world's respect. At the same time, the Chinese communists have also evolved and remain communist in name only, having co-opted its former ideological enemy, free market capitalism, as its principal economic tool, while implementing technocratic meritocracy to get great things done. While most people in the US leadership are lawyers, in China they are engineers. What does this tell you about the future?

@befeleme , good points. I'd add, the US was never really the "benevolent beacon of democracy". The Deep State and political establishment used that as a guise to justify their unjust wars, corrupt foreign aid, and foolish international manipulations. We Americans have been duped over-and-over, for 60+ years.

I remember my dad telling my late brother and I that the Chinese would eventually in a way take over the world that was in beginning of the sixties. He would be surprised by how the Chinese have accomplished so much in so little time . His prediction has almost become true. As the years had past I have to recognize my dad as a leader to have us sit down and have conversations with him, which now I say they were debates to express ideas and talk about what was going on in the world and country USA and Mexico 🇲🇽. My dad use to tell us to be leaders not sheeps. To think by ourselves and analyze what we saw,read or hear, now day people are to busy or preoccupied with making a living or wanting to live someone else through the social media, but in a way is just excuses for not taking responsibility as citizens, it doesn't matter where we live. You are not alone in thinking the way you do, there's a lot of people with the same thoughts of how the leadership of the USA is destroying this country and yes your are correct the leadership of this will use nuclear weapons as soon they see that they are losing. They will choose to destroy the world before loosing face. Como dice El dicho "ni Para Dios ni Para El diablo" thank you 😂😂😂😂

@Dan Lyons the Taiwan situation is that 90% of the population want the status quo. Aka. No reunification but no independence either. Its the US constantly giving the radicals on the island money and airtime to force china's hands. China has shown every indictation that its fine with the status quo and wants to integrate taiwan with the mainland over time through economic influence, but the US constantly tries to thwart this, even going as far as funding their own Miadan movement in taiwan known as the sunflower movement, that overthrew (albiet democratically) the KMT and put in their stooges. And when you have US politicians openly saying the US should reneg on the one china policy, That effectively leaves china with no choice but to take the threat seriously.

For a leadership class we have yet one more Kennedy running for president. When does this entrenched, dystopic, dynastic, dysfunction stop. Enough with the Kennedys, the Obamas, the Clintons, the McCains, the Bushes, the Pelosi's, the Schumer's. It all must end.

And what if it was not the 'miscalculation' ? OK. The reaction of the Russian market was difficult to predict, even for them, because they work on the assumption : -'Russia is weak'. Sanctions can be 'weaponized' (everything can be), but still it's hard for me to believe, they didn't know, how it would be working on Europe - if 'for', or 'against' it. I have the constant impression, they knew perfectly, that it would weaken Europe and they meant it, as their main purpose was and still to ditch Europe and depopulate it with all means possible. Maybe only that was 'miscalculated', it didn't do any harm to Russia, but in my humble opinion, they knew, it would cause further harm to Europe, which happened on their wish and in accordance to their purposes. Thank You, Gonzalo. Greetings.

Weakening Europe is side-effect they were going for, but they are certainly waging war on Russia here so that they "can get their hands in China". The 2019 RAND report Details the entire stupid "strategy" and they've been following through.

They planned to weaken and deindustrialize Europe from the very beginning. The US have no other means to stay afloat but to drown the competitor (Europe) and pump their has to Europe to get money. Europe is deindustrializing heavily. Some industries are offered welcoming and nice conditions in the US. So they move there. But the US did miscalculate heavily with Russia and the global non-western world.

Yes, they knew it would work against Europe, and that is their intention as it would benefit the US tremendously, keeping the vassals tied to their apron strings...and all the consequences of their action...

I agree with you. I don't give up easy, I want to stand and fight for my country, but with so much going on and us being in the 🎯 (like you said incompetent leadership, such horrible miscalculations that a 5 year old could see through some of this), I've actually considered to see if I qualify for Italian citizenship through my family that immigrated to the USA. Europe and Italy have their own messes, but I don't know, at least Georgia Meloni is trying to take care of her people. My daughter thinks South America is where we should go. Pros there too, but I don't know. Being a foreigner in a worldwide economic crash is a big deal. I keep saying that I don't know. 😬😄 It's my first war and economic collapse.

I wouldn't expect the grass to be greener on the other side. Old saying in france, grass is greener because there is more sh*t to grow out of... Europe is - IMO - in worse situation than the US, on the surface it looks okay but underneath? Rotten. And the USA has the attitude of enough of their citizens to re-group and rebuild. The europeans in general terms will be waiting for their governments to save them ... which they won't.

Meloni has, in fact, taken over from Mario Draghi the foreign policy and NATO policy. Before the election still positive about Putin, after the election turned completely. Support and weapons for Zelensky. Half of her constituents believe that the war must stop immediately. Even if this means Ukraine has to surrender territory. Italy has huge public debt, perhaps a BRICS country is a better option.

I don't think you were all over the place. I think the talk was clear. We have a problem not just with our current leaders, but with the leadership class itself. And this is due to how leaders are actually chosen and the process they go through to arrive where they are, which selects incompetence and insular thinking.

Gonzalo you nailed it. Most sensible ppl also ask that question. Because China became so big what on earth are the Americans so scared of? And yes China never ever dictate like the Americans.
