These are great. I think edited tournaments like the way they used to be is the way I like to watch them the most. I love to go back and watch the old tournaments in this format and I hope Bassmaster continues to do them like this going forward for fans like me. Awesome!

Yeah because showing them live they're staring at the plasma TV on the boat telling them where the fish are.

Love these edited versions like they used to be. I grew up watching Bob Cobb on TNN back when you had to be sitting in front of the tv when your program came on. My brother and i didnt have any water around the house so we would pretend the picknick table was a bass boat and tie our rods to a log. We would play out what we watched on bassmasters on saturday mornings. I still have the fire for tournements to this day!

KEEP THESE COMING! Inspired me to start fishing for real at the age of 36. Entering my first tournament next week after a few months of starting to learn the elite stuff. I fish in Crab Orchard and Rend Lake mostly in a kayak. Yum 4in crawfishs on a texas rig with a baticaster my favorite set-up. Also love hollowbody frogs! Topwater Bass fishing the best. Much love from Illinois!

Good stuff brother if you wanna explore some other lakes in Illinois Clinton lake has some pretty incredible bass fishing with a legitimate chance of catching a 7 pounder. Not to mention very good crappie fishing as a bonus.

Really enjoyed seeing this format again. My only question is I feel like the older versions of these (2013-2017) did more building of a storyline using the first 3 days over the first 15-20 mins and then split the remaining 20-30 mins on day 4. Curious what the catalyst was for the change in allocation of time as day 4 only made up the last 10 minutes at best.

Having more cameras on the first few days of tournaments with a lot more footage. This tournament ended with 86 pounds, 55 was leading after the first two days. A lot of action happened in the first two days that we would’ve left out for a tougher final day in comparison. Just an example. Will never be exactly like it was pre-live (06-14).

I'm only 1 year into local pond hopping for bass...I've never watched these tournaments my question I can they use nets to land the fish??..and do those fish they show off get put back in water??..thanks
@BassmasterOfficial6 ай бұрын
No nets at the pro level of Bassmaster. Yes, the fish return to the water after weigh-in’s. They are kept alive in livewells full of circulating water.

Big tournaments are the reason it’s so hard to catch decent fish these days. Too much pressure.
@durrantalan5 ай бұрын
Hello from the UK. Why don’t you use landing nets? When there’s so much money at stake, why risk losing a fish at the boat? Thanks.
@BassmasterOfficial5 ай бұрын
No nets allowed for Elite Series. Another way of making them test themselves and their skill at fishing, hooking and landing bass.

How does Bassmaster have less subs than some influencers? These anglers would not be fishing for their own money if Bassmaster stepped up its monetization on youtube.
@BassmasterOfficial6 ай бұрын
Well Jacob there are a lot of factors. We have a thriving website where the majority of video was located for years until 2019/2020 when we began to put an importance and emphasis on KZfaq. YT had only been a storage dump place for the longest time. So we were late to YT than individuals. You are also quite unaware of how monetization works on YT as subscribers don’t get you paid, watch time and views w/ads do. We have been growing exponentially since making the effort on YT as the social world changes and grows. Easy to say in hindsight but in the moment our website was exactly what we wanted/needed in that era of time.

The sponsor money the big three electronics companies give to the anglers and BASS make all this possible. You would rather see these guys and BASS struggle even more without their support so you can watch what you deem a real tournament? The only people who hate it are the ones that get beat by it.

How can anyone support watching this garbage where the fisherman are watching a TV screen on their boat telling them where the fish are?
