As someone who owns the AirPods Pro and XM4s, I tend to grab my XM4s about 95% of the time. The sound quality is just unmatched.

They stay in my ears when running and become unnoticeable. They are tight but comfortable. The sound quality is about the same as the 1st gen buds. They pair more easily with my LG G8 ThinQ and immediately reconnect when removed from the case. The sound balance is excellent, good but not overpowering base and clean mid tones and highs.Cons: The noise cancellation is good but perhaps a little less effective than the Bose ANC on the 1st gen buds. Passthrough mode as not as good as the 1st gen buds making it a little more difficult to hear conversations when in passthrough.

When I saw this video I was a bit surprised. I was worried that James had stopped the Picky Audio channel. Great to see him again.

As a 1000xm4 user, I had never set the volume more than 50% anyway, the noise cancelling is that good I guess, which is definitely a plus for my ear health.

Had the XM4’s, amazing sound, great ANC but honestly couldn’t wear them for any more than 30 mins at a time. Had to bring them back and ended up with the AirPods Pro 2. They’re just so comfortable and the transparency mode is incredible.

Got the QC II today and i love em. Soundquality is Bose-like great and ANC is just ridiculous good. In spring they get a aptX -lossless update (confirmed) and with that update they will be even better than now.

The Sennheiser Momentum TW3 do actually have a way to tune the sound to your ears. Instead of the typical beeping test, you have to listen to your own music and throughout the test, you pick which of the three versions of that music sounds best to you. If I had to pick from these earbuds (I'm on Android), I would choose the Momentums. For me, they would be the best overall choice. Good sound, good ANC, long battery life, good call quality, playback, volume and ANC controls without sacrificing one of them. I also wouldn't feel 'locked' into an ecosystem and Sennheiser doesn't seem to collect any data on you, according to Mozilla's privacy not included guide, unless that's outdated. The big case wouldn't be a concern for me. I'd put it in my bag or in the pocket of my jacket.

The shift in EQ when you turn up the XM4s was enough for me to return them. The Buds 2 Pro are the loudest earbuds I ever owned. I really wish Samsung gave us a band EQ in the app. They would be damn near perfect.

I think everyone goes with the most known companies, but take the Sennheisers they are in the "mid" of being perfect. The sound of the it just wow! I had airpods,but the Sennheisers blow me away. The only problem is that they might be delicate to use. my Momentum 2 broke, and the first momentum 3 that i had they had a weird noise when the ANC was on. However, the new ones that i got sound spectacular, they do have s noise when I put the ANC and i change the song, overall a solid earbuds.

I've got the xm4's with an aftermarket replacement for the eartips, which work so much better and barely cost $25 I think. Comfort is way better, so is isolation meaning anc has more of an effect, and couple that with the sound quality, they are just so much better than my buddy's Airpods Pro 2's from what I've experienced. Also, having a huge 8h battery life in the buds itself means you can spend less time charging it for more overall battery life, and spend more time listening to music. Take of this what you will, I think the xm4's are still one of the best, and I can't wait for the xm5's this summer 😀

Great Vid mate, I had the xm4 and then bought the Senny's and I love them, fit so much better, I have some great eartips for both but the Senny's I find sound better and the controls are so much better but most of all they fit so well, don't budge, can put a bit of pressure on the front of my ear but work great. I bought these based on your recommendation and love it so thanks so much.

Great video! I couldn't decide between the Bose QCII and the Airpods pro 2 so I got both. I was about to return the Bose until I found that I just needed to switch around the seals and find the best fit. The ANC are the only selling point on the QCs to me which makes it way over priced. But i still don't want to return them so I think i'll just keep them to use with my non-Apple gear. :D

My problem with the AirPod pro 2 is that the microphones break so often. I have an apple eco system and love them when they work. It I’ve had them replaced 5times. Had the gen 1 pro replaced about the same. It’s either transparency mode failing, sounds like wind cutting in and out or the audio been very very poor for the person I’m speaking to. Have you any exp with this issue.

While I really loved the XM4's cause they sounded amazing, they absolutely murdered my ears even when I used the smallest size they have for the tips, it was very painful to take them out after about 45 minutes and if I left them in for more than 2 hours my right ear in particular felt very sore combined with sharp pain.

I got the Sennheiser Momentum 3, been using it for several months. very happy. I think the case size is a consideration perhaps if you are biking or running and need to keep it in shallow or tight pockets. But if you're chucking it in a bag, it's not an issue. I like the fabric on the case, it feels more premium than just cold plastic. It's tactial and doesn't slide around. The chunkiness gives it a premium feel that it is more protected.

So from this list I have the both the MTW3 and the Samsung Buds2 Pro. I like them both for different reason's but I really can't find a way to get the buds 2 pro to stay in my ears comfortably. They either are loose or they cause pain in my ear canal. I would have liked to see how the Technics EAH-AZ60 stacked up in this review. I also have those and imo have the best audio quality out-of any bud so far.

I have sony wf-1000xm3 and sennheiser momentum tw2. Momentum is my go to every day. Sound is fantastic! I'm a bit of a basshead. Yes, Anc is way better on xm3 but I only use it while on a plane. The rest momentum tw2 is my daily driver. Now the question. Should I upgrade to momentum tw3? Is the sound a lot better? Compared to tw2? Is it worth it to upgrade? I feel like Status Audio's Between Pro need to be more involved in these reviews. They may be a relatively new comer to the earbud game, but the triple driver technology, 12hr use time, and sound quality is head and shoulders above pretty much all of these for about half the price. Just a suggestion

After comparing the first-gen Bose QC1 and the new Apple AirPods, there was no comparison.. I immediately purchased the Bose QCII which has an even better sound!.. Not sure why you rate Bose #4 when all others' review rates as #1 or #2??!! Every other KZfaqr rates either QCII or Momentum. BTW.. For those who happen to have mild hearing issues, the AirPods Pros have a way to do a basic test and custom tune. From what I understand, you will need to have a iPhone that has IOS 14 or later. If interested, there are many KZfaq videos available to learn more.

I've noticed that the Sony WF-1000XM4 has great ANC only because of the memory foam eartips. I've seen reviews in which users tried to replace it with ordinary silicone eartips and the ANC was terrible. Well, the reason for replacing it was related to comfort, in which some people just prefer silicone over memory foam. I was just wondering if other cheaper earbuds with "average" or even "not-so-good" ANC can benefit from using memory foam eartips as well. I hope somebody would do an experiment with dozens of earbuds with ANC. Just wondering!😅

I'm looking for something that has both touch & silent control, is there anything like that? Like Galaxy buds, touch control but they have the beeping sounds when you change the volume, or Jabra ones have silent control (via the app) but they're physical buttons.

Here I am using $12 dollar TWS and pretty happy with the sound (With Android EQ features + Wavelet app ofc).

what are the eq settings do you use when you test out the volume? for my xm4, I have the eq set to custom and have the eq at flat with clear bass at -10 while noise canceling and transparency mode turned off. I have ldac enabled since they sound the best compared to aac since noise canceling and transparency mode ruins the sound quality and I have the eq settings on flat because I want the sound quality to be as neutral as possible. I use a wired iems from fiio and they called the fa1 and they are tuned with a neutral and analytical sound signature and I try to make the sony xm4 very similar to my fiio iems in terms of sound signature since they are light on bass and people that want bass won't like the fiio fa1 because they sound like they have no bass but in reality the bass is very fast and tight. I mainly daily drive the sennheiser hd 600 and for closed back headphones, I use the neumann nd20. Nobody mentions the eq settings when they talk about sound quality on tws if they have the eq at flat or if they change the eq settings.

Curious how you rate the Sony link bud s. I've heard that their call quality is better than the xm4 and audio not very different. I like the sennheiser momentum 3 and apple AirPod pros but the link bud s are cheap atm.

Great vid. I've got the Sony WF-1000 and use the Galaxy Buds pro as my backup. The Sony's have great noise cancelling and sound you can adjust. The feature where you hold the bud to hear around you is impressive, and the talk-to-hear feature is fantastic. The app has so much customisation you will find something you like. But with a bit of shaking, the headphones can fall out of your ears easily. I wouldn't recommend running with them Walking is fine. Galaxy Bud Pros are not that different from the Galaxy Bud Pros 2; they have a great fit and app features also including touch controls and customisation. You can go to the gym with these, run and sometimes forget them in your ears if you are sitting in a noisy place and want proper silence, it's the Sonys. For my day-to-day on-move pair with decent noise cancelling, it's the Galaxy Buds pro. In the gym, it depends on the exercise.

Just an update, the Bose have single bud use now. It is also said that they will release AptX adaptive and Aptx HD in spring 2023.

While the Sennheiser you could tell was manipulating the sound a lot to cancel out the background noise, to the point of it being unnatural and soundint robotic, it work. I think with any noisy environment, people just need to explain to their caller they are in a noisey area...

i owned sony wf-1000xm4, the left earbud battery got drained easily in less than an hour of using, on the right earbud i have no problem at all and it could go more than 5hrs. the battery issue started a month ago and it's very sad since it is very expensive for me. sadly warranty is already expired last Jan 2023, i hope someone can help me here if sony can make a replacement or repair
