My First Drive in a 2023 BMW M2 courtesy of BMW Park Lane. I’m not convinced on the looks, and very confused by the way it drives in London! Not the most comprehensive test drive considering I had 60 minutes in Central London but fun to get behind the wheel!

I took one for a test drive and it blew me away, it doesn’t feel as heavy as it is, it’s amazing

I honestly think the only thing that sets you apart from other KZfaqrs/journalists is they quality of the videos. I don’t mean the content, or how you present etc. I mean the way the videos are put together. If you got yourself an editor with some nice creamy b roll and some music. I’m sure you’d be on par with STG and you’re a damn site more palatable than shmee. Keep pushing man I don’t wanna see you disappear off this platform ❤️ (I like making videos if you need an editor) 😂

Paul you're called super cars of London. You drive a golf and your main concern when purchasing a car is it comfy and what mpg doss it do. You don't drive fast and just potter around. Why are you even reviewing these cars? You know as much as Sam and Tony you need to be looking at cars that suit you. Find something luxury as speed and track designed road cars ain't for you are they lol

Saw one in the flesh at a local dealer a couplemof days ago. To me, it still looks bloody weird, kind of reminds me of a scalextric car i had as a kid where the body was too big for the chassis & wheels. The previous M2 looked so good as well, one of the proportionally best looking cars of recent times.

I am not a coupe guy what so ever. However I think this front end looks good and is definitely better than the m3 grille… which honestly I’ve grown to like a bit too.

Honestly, this m2 is beautiful. Like the g series m3/4, it's going to grow on people. Give it a year, and people will love how this looks. It's an amazing looking car especially in black

Wasn’t keen on the 2 series in general from photos. Saw an M240i and thought it looked brilliant (in all black). I suspect this will look great also. Not keen on that blue though, doesn’t do it justice.

1.7 tonnes - wow. Used to have a 135i which just looked up weight and it’s 1539kg. I am shocked how heavy these cars are. R35 Gtr was mentioned and it’s 1735kg and I always thought it was way to heavy. I’m confused by this.

Count me as one that dislikes the F87 compared to the G87. I think the F87 looks old, rounded and soft. The G87 on the other hand looks boxy and aggressive. I love that.

It’s not as bad in real life as the photos look, but it is huge. I parked my m2c next to it and it’s far bigger than my f87, and nowhere near as good looking.

I quite like it. I have a 2021 M340i company car. My only question with BMW is WHY DONT THEY do flat bottom steering wheels like Audi and Mercedes to name a few? Such a small thing BUT ultimately a MASSIVE deal as it's the thing you have the most contact with controlling the car. Just feel BMW is missing a trick there with the steering wheel flat bottom scenario 😮😮

Because the point of a flat bottom wheel is to give clearance for the driver's legs, so it's kind of pointless in these cars as well as most cars that have them

@@mr_radikal007 you're most definitely wrong. Flat bottom steering wheels have nothing to do with driving dynamics lol. They're for race cars that have very tight cockpits, so that the driver can have more leg clearance. It's for space saving and that's it.

lol amazing how you can be so confidently wrong. how would having a lopsided circle possibly help with "control" or "driving dynamics?" If you're taking tight turns quickly on a track or have the car in a drift / oversteer scenario where you need to turn the wheel quickly and / or let it slide through your hands to catch a drift, a lopsided wheel just makes the car harder to control. The other guy is right, it's for leg clearance in race cars and is just a gimmick in most street cars. I'm glad BMW keeps a round wheel.

It’s very sharp, that’s the point ! Love it .. one thing I’ve learned is it can be driven daily with ease and comfort in town. We all know it’s fast, handles beautifully. However this is a review for the real world use. Thx, cheers !

Got triggered when in the first 5 minutes of this video you twice refer to this car as the 'M2 Competition'. Its not, its just an M2. There is currently no G87 M2 Comp, just the F87 model from 2018-2021.

Well i bought one and it arrives in September at Northampton dealership, i went for the Toronto Red with all black wheels and i haven't even test drove or even seen 1 in the flesh yet but ive put my trust in my brother as he lives near the dealer and i live in northeast... so we will see when it arrives!

happy with my 1M----but in all fairness you are driving around cramped London streets and i don't think you can really get a feel for this new M2's spirit in such limited circumstances! the weight is certainly very concerning though.

All markets, yes. I bought my G87 M2 from Marbella in Spain and it was manufactured on the 12th of May. It has been sitting in Mexico under the Sun since then, awaiting transport, which never seems to come.

It's awesome of BMW to let you take this car out, but to do so in central London is almost completely pointless lmao. Almost full of 20 zones, not a single place you can actually push the car or anything. And I hate the looks of it. The G80 M3 grew on me though, maybe this will too one day lol

I don't like it, but looks are very subjective. The price tag seems ludicrous, though. M cars are just fast versions on normal road cars, not supercars. I'm not seeing the value in this at that price point.

I don’t mean this as a mean comment, but I find these sort of cars are for smaller people and it looks a bit too chavy. Also I honestly hate the new screens all manufactures seem to be doing. The long rap around screens 🤦🏻‍♂️. I’ve have a 2019 amg with the virtual screen but in the normal cockpit style. Why couldn’t they carry on with these style cockpits. I dread the day I have to change mine as I don’t like the way new cars interiors are being designed.

I'm really sorry, but i don't get why you would review an M2 on the London Streets at 20mph where every car feels exactly the same...no benefit! Get it out on the open roads where the car will be in its element and proper review against the Cayman GTS etc comes into its own.....sorry, but on the London streets it may aswell be a 2CV!

having had a 2018 OG F87 for 3yrs, I cannot get past this new ones ugliness and squared edges... old one looks so much nicer. Call me old fashioned but i want dials and buttons in the dash, not touchscreens everywhere and muffled down exhausts. They just don't make them like they used to :(
