My brand new s1000rr had large vibration at 100mph.
At the 600 miles service I asked BMW to look into it as I suspected it to be unballanced wheels.
BMW conclusion was that everything was fine, vibrations are normal on the s1000rr apparently!
I was not convinced so I had to check myself.
The conclusion.
Front;
No weights were fitted from new, it needed 30g to ballance!.
Rear;
Tyre fitted incorrectly with the red dot nowhere near the valve.
Also the amount of weights were incorrect and also not in the correct position!!
Now the bike rides smooth.
To Top it all off the rear wheel was not in straight, one side was slightly further forward than the other.
