Re: Flicker/Blink. I generally use “Blink” for instant returns because of Momentary Blink, and “Flicker” for End Step returns because of Flickerwisp. Of course there are cards with “Flicker” in the name with instant returns buuuuttt…

Nobody is claiming they couldn't have been. But they would have been a lot wordier and read more complicated. I think they are fine as their own card type. Honestly, Planeswalkers could have been enchantments too.
