It's crazy to me that these vehicle manufactures (GM included) don't seem to want to mass produce vehicles since 2020 and onward. Keeping inventory low/prices high. Now, inventory is better than it was in 2020/2021, but nowhere near pre-2020 levels.

The 2023 Chevy Silverado 1500 ZR2 Bison average price starts at $78,490, including the $1,795 destination fee. I started to notice this vehicles are not target for the common person, it’s for the rich that will pay any price to look good. Chevrolet Silverado 1500 will depreciate 22% after 5 years and have a 5 year resale value of $44,093. So you pay over 80k and depreciate that much and remember if it dosen’t break down. The best years of the Chevrolet Silverado are 2013-2014, 2015-2018, 2019-2021, and 2010-2011. Just saying🤷🏽‍♂️

OK Dave, you seem to know what GM is building, so what is being offered with a standard transmission besides sport models? It seems that not many types are offered this way any more.

Dave - One thing not spoken of a lot is 'Affordability' of new vehicles in 2023. The average purchaser simply can't afford most new vehicles today. High purchase prices and high interest rates have take most consumers out of the new vehicle market. Chevrolet, it seems, has deliberately slowed production, particularly on pickups, in order to keep availability low and prices high. Surely this makes it tough on you as a sales person to match purchasers to vehicles, unless your area enjoys more affluence than most areas. Comment?

Love the video Dave. Very timely. I just took delivery of my 23 silverado zr2 glacier blue. Fully loaded 77,160. I skipped the bison. Just didn't need that stuff. Pricey enough. Great truck nice daily driver. I get many compliments and it's super comfortable. Crazy as it sounds I probably won't off road much in it. Thanks again Dave.

I’m sorry I was interested in a Bolt for a bit, but once Chevy announced they are no longer including car play/android auto I lost interest all together. Atleast on a new one still considering a used one for my next car. Just a dumb decision imo. Both Android Auto and CarPlay are excellent, work great and well loved universally. You can even hear Dave stutter when talking about the dumb infrotainment system at 5:14 he knows it’s dumb.

I may be “old fashioned” but who would spend $85,000.00 on a pickup and drive it down the side of a mountain and damage it hitting rocks, stumps and the other debris you find on these trails? It takes a long time to make $85 thousand dollars and the resale on a truck that’s damaged from all the obstacles you will run over has to be very low. I can see where new vehicles are becoming nearly impossible to buy for the average working man in this country.

Way too big! I have a 2011 Silverado crew cab Z 71 4 x 4 and this makes my truck look like a Ford ranger. I sat in one at the Indy Grand Prix this year, and I just couldn’t believe how much like a child I felt inside of it!! Made me feel small!
