I haven't changed my air filter but I did find another video that shows an easier way to remove the shock absorber. Just push it to the left. No tools needed. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/ZpumgZyZqZPXmIE.html

yes, push it off at the top, not the bottom and IF you find any stuff on top of your filter (seeds, leaves...) open your front hood and check the screen on the air inlet, just under the windshield edge its plastic, animals can chew thru it and make a nest on top of your air filter
