@@facts-GPT lol Well just so you know I like speed but it's not all about speed. I can have just as much fun on a go-kart on a track going 20 than a bike going 160 (done them both and then some). And sometimes the go-kart feels faster. It's all about hitting multiple senses. I would like a fast EV in my collection but I don't want to be forced for that to be my only option in the name of saving the planet when EVs still use planetary resources and have their own possible fatal risks involved. I rather have a slower 65 Stang than a super fast Tesla. It's all good bro. God bless.

The Vette just launches better. If Chevy would just tweak with the looks of the Vette a little it could look as menacing as it competitors and be faster at a lower price.

Wait until the ZR1 comes out with the same engine but twin turbos instead of 670 bhp 460 torque like the Z06 it will be 850 bhp and 850 torque that's plus 180 bhp and 390 torque it's supposed to go 0-60 in 2.1 seconds the Z06 is around 2.6 so the world is on notice the C8 ZR1 will be a rocket ship and no stock car under a million dollars will touch it

Explain Like I'm 5: How does a car with a slower quarter mile time have a higher trap speed? What does that indicate? Bad at launching but good at catching up? In this case is the difference because of AWD vs. RWD?

Reaction time and 60’ times can make a huge difference in the 1/4. My 11 year old McLaren traps 132 MPH but my 60’ is always so bad my best time is only 11.07 😢😂

The Lamborghini is catching up. I own a 2023 Z06 and albeit it’s extremely fast in the quarter mile…. the Lamborghini will crush it in the mile. No one races a mile so it’s like who cares. But that explains why his speed is a higher miles per hour, he will eventually surpass the Z06

Based on the technology & hype Chevrolet's out on the Z06, I'd expect it to trap @ 130-132, not 125. Better exhaust? "Competition only" in-car setting on ignition & fuel curve?

For the money a Corvette is hard to beat as far a bang for buck here's the deal I had a 2014 C7 Stingray with a blower and ran an 11.2 at 127 mph at stupid high destiny altitude in Albuquerque NM. Got the car for $38k n another $10k in mods and running similar times to a Lamborghini that costs way way way more lol. Another $10k and blow the doors off an exotic.

Ferrari benchmarked the 2005 era Ford GT along with cars from competitors such as Alfa Romeo and Lamborghini back in the 70s and 60s. On the subject of “stealing”, I guess, as you define it, Ferrari stole their FPC V8s from the Alfa Romeo Stradale 33, who in turn copied it from Coventry Climax out of the UK, as they were the first manufacturer to introduce high revving flat plane crank V8 configuration in the post World War II era. And let’s not forget that it was Cadillac who introduced the first flat plane crank V8 into mass production in 1918. Also, by your definition, Ferrari stole the mid engine, transverse mounted engine configurations from Lamborghini and Alfa Romeo, with a shout out to Ford as well for the Ford GT, all of which were released years before Ferrari released any mid engine sports cars with high revving V-8’s.
