Another consideration is that with the Lincoln, when you bring your Aviator in for service, you get a loaner. And, if you choose, Lincoln will come to pick up you Aviator and leave a loaner, then return your Aviator and take back the loaner when the work is complete. Also, with the Lincoln, you get roadside assistance. One more thing: I prefer the landscape orientation of the Aviator touchscreen over the portrait orientation in the Explorer. I love my 2024 Aviator Reserve.

Some Ford dealers provide a loaner but you're right.. pretty much guaranteed one with a Lincoln. Ford has roadside assistance as well but Lincoln gets the extra year and more mileage for coverage. I'll make sure to point those things out in my 2025 compare video! What color did you end up going with for yours?

Have had 2 explorers before I moved to the Aviator..... And will never look back. Moving to the plugin hybrid in the spring for fuel economy. Nice and clean video !

I've had both with my new purchase of a 2022 Lincoln Aviator this year. The Aviator is SO much more luxurious and has a much smoother ride than my Explorer ST. The only two things that I miss from my ST are the "massaging seats" (it's a $3K option I didn't go for on the Aviator) that came with my ST and the better acceleration of my ST. The Aviator is quick, but just not as fast as my ST because of the added weight it has. All in all I do like my new Aviator much better and feel it was definitely worth the additional $10K+ in price. Also, I really like the additional year in Warranty 4 yrs. compared to 3yrs and the 50K miles to 36K miles the Aviator comes with. That alone might be worth the added cost of the Aviator.

Great call on mentioning the difference in warranty between them! Going to include that in future videos, it's a useful thing to bring up. I like your points all around... ride quality and how the curb weight affects the difference in acceleration 👌 Thanks for pointing those out!

I prefer the masculinity of the ST though. I'm coming from an Escalade 2019 wanted to lower my profile without getting something too girly. I admit the Aviator is really nice though. If my wife decides to part from her XT5, it's gonna be Aviator.

I have the Aviator predecessor, a 2019 MKT. The 365hp turbo V6 is an excellent engine, and is needed in these heavy vehicles. Great review by the way....

The Aviator is beautiful and I love the way it drives. Mine has 22k miles and I have had numerous problems. My Aviator is getting sold soon.

That's great, which models have you had? The Aviator is a beautiful ride.. no full electric as an option though but you wouldn't be disappointed with the power of the Grand Touring hybrid model.

Lincoln has the v6 , less of the ' is that a cop car behind me look' nice if there was a 2 row opt for us who have no need want or will ever use the 3rd row I want cargo space

That's so true.. every time I see a black explorer behind me with a grille guard all I think is undercover. The Explorer does have a 2 row option but it's only available for fleet customers and only comes with the base engine

There is a tech that's being developed right now to allow that. The idea is to have a dedicated EV charging lane on highways/interstates and would charge via conduction like a wireless phone charger as you drive

Marketing CRAP, stick to the basics. The more options you choose the more PROBLEMS you will encounter. IT WILL BE IN THE DEALERSHIP SHOP, more than you realize. Sorry to say this since I own a Lincoln MKX.

More features doesn't mean you WILL have more problems.. more features means you COULD have problems. I know owners of both vehicles who have never had an issue and then odd owner who has had something come up

The new 10 speed transmissions aren't as reliable as the older 6 speed ones. That's one of the setbacks of these new models
