The Ford SuperDuty got some pretty big changes for the 2023 model year. There's a new 6.8L V8 gas engine, high output 6.7L diesel, digital cluster screen, box steps and so much more! Now there's a recall on some of the 2023 F250 because of the wrong payload sticker.I picked up my F250XLT yesterday my payload sticker reads 3585 with more options than the one in your video,I don't have the snow plow.7.3 engine,3.75 locking axle,crew cab. So now we wait.

Looks like the issue may have stemmed from the factory not calculating the weight of dealer installed options added during ordering in the final TREAD numbers. Have you checked with your dealer to see if your VIN was affected by the recall? This one has the 9,900 lbs GVWR package on the sticker too so that could explain the discrepancy.

Yes, you can adjust the gain by pushing the minus or plus button just under the manual control lever

My only question is - is Ford still using the same fuel pressure pump.?

So it's the same part number but if you look at the images for the 2015 - 2019 vs the 2019 - 2023 models they are definitely different

@@CarsWithSteve Chevy tried the cp4 and went back to the co3 Ram went to another manufacturer I have a ford f350 now and have had a 1994,1996,2004 and 2016 powerstroke. The fuel pressure pump has been an issue for ford and 13,000 to replace everything and ford acts like it’s still the way to go. I don’t understand Can you tell be what Ford has done to correct their death wobble problem?

Are you running into the same issue across the board with all the SuperDuty powerstrokes? Honestly, there's nothing I'd be able to see as to what corrections have been made behind the scenes. I can bring it up to a few of the shop managers next time I'm at a Ford dealer though to get their feedback on it

I've seen dozens of these things easily roll over 100,000 miles without issue. Defects can happen but if you don't overload the truck and regularly maintain it'll treat you well

The SuperDuty? Lol. This redesign is new but it’s lipstick on the 6.7L for slightly higher output by it’s been around since 2011.

@@CarsWithSteve The 6.7 has gone through several changes in its 12-year run. I'm just saying about the new 6.8 "baby-zilla". The 7.3 has gremlins, so it's already a serious gamble; not that I don't think they'll be good, but they're always gremlins to deal with at Ford. Although the engines that are usually best are the bare bones stock engines (such as 6.8). I'm sure once the 6.8 gets out there people will order crate 6.8s to dump into Mustangs and whatever. Once the gremlins are worked out, the 7.3 Godzilla will be a very reliable engine for a long time. Petrol isn't going anywhere like people think.

Ah that makes sense. The 6.8L looks promising but you're right.. it can be a gamble for new engines before potential issues are discovered. It's looking like the 7.3L Godzilla seems to be holding up well for owners so far. Agree 100% on internal combustion, I can't see that going away either. Can't see the SuperDuty going hybrid but an EV with next gen tech could be possible if the range under heavy load can be addressed
