The 2023 GAC Empow is the quickest sedan in the Philippines. Its 0-100 time of 6.8 seconds is within sports car territory, just shy of the BR-Z's 6.6 and much faster than the Civic's 7.9 seconds. It's also arguably one of the best looking and one of the best equipped. In this video, we'll do a full, in-depth review of what may be one of the best sedans that you can buy in the Philippines for the price.

Now this is a thorough review. You actually tested it out on the twisties (in sport plus mode) and did the 0-100 sprint. You also explained how the tranny behaves which a lot of reviewers said they didn’t like. I test drove this GB variant twice and I really didn’t notice the “lull”, might be because as a driver, I have always been light on the accelerator. This is definitely a lot of a car for the money. Thank you for actually doing a proper review of this car! ❤🎉👊👍🏻 This is the reason why I think your channel is underrated.

When I first saw the top speced variant of this car last January (I think it was the green one) at ATC Alabang, I was really blown away by its looks. The inside was also astounding. Now, after seeing your review, all my basic questions were answered. Thanks for a great, detailed review, especially the 0-100 kph test. That was really convincing. Yes, both the middle-spec and top of the line have stop and go adaptive cruise control

Sir, i know this is off topic but since you really love the Adaptive Cruise Control. Would you consider getting the Honda BRV VX w/ Honda Sensing over the Innova E if you are starting a family? Considering the wife/gf will get to drive it as well. Thank you 😊

The only advantage of the Innova is its more torquey diesel engine. Aside from that, the BRV is better in almost every way. It's newer, it's more comfortable and it has more active safety features. Aside from Adaptive cruise control, it also has automatic emergency braking -A feature that I think is quite important for a family vehicle. It saved me once from a low speed collision

Sir Jay, was wondering if you think the driving differences between this and a coolray is big enough? I get this is a sedan and the geely is a highup crossover but itching to get one soon, or a MG GT Sport with coilovers hehe. Kasi if its roughly the samez I'd rather start a project carz, I cant find a test drive of a GE variant din huhu. Great review as always boss!

I didn't get to spend as much time driving the coolray. But I'm a sedan person so I would choose this over the coolray any day. It's quicker, the steering feels better, and you're low down to the ground so it feels a lot sportier

That 0-100 should still improve if the tyres will be replaced by a more sport oriented set. The wheelspin at the beginning of the launch takes around 0.3-0.5 seconds - maybe..
