In this video we take a walkaround tour of the 2023 GMC Terrain AT4 in the Desert Sand Metallic exterior with the Jet Black, interior. The Terrain received a refresh for the 2022 model year but gets a small power bump for 2023. Let me know what you think of the Terrain AT4 in the comments below!

Hi, just bought the Terrain AT4, 2023,AND it's all black,with spoke black wheels. I have never had anything newer than 2006.... hahaha ! I will take it out in country to get used to it ! So much in it... Gayle.

We just bought this exact car but in red. Everyone saying the horse power is weak, on paper yes it does sound very under powered but I was pleasantly surprised when we test drove it. We also test drove an envision with a 2.0l turbo which supposedly made 225 hp and as far as power of the line the terrain blew it out of the water.

Nice job on your review…purchased this exact model AT-4 same color as well.. engine has plenty of power…they paired the transmission with the engine nicely…no issues to report…this is my third Terrain first was SLT…no issues, 2nd was SLE…no issues…the 2023 is an AT-4…have enjoyed driving this model more…Sunroof is a great addition to this model year…would recommend the AT-4 to anyone who likes to go off road just for fun…The selectable switch transmission is great on the fly from 2-W to All Wheel and especially OFF Road mode…steep hill decent works great to keep the vehicle under control…Thank you for your video…🙌

Everybody doubting horsepower needs some education on it. It’s not how much power an engine produces, it’s how much torque you produce and what percentage of this force isput to the ground and weight and aerodynamics. .

at least they could have taken the 2.5L 200 hp naturally aspirtaed engine from the colorado and put it in this. love the color though...wish the color came on the trailblazer or blazer

The torque advantage of the 1.5T is better than the slight horsepower advantage of the 2.5 NA in most cases. Its personal preference at the end of the day.

Why doesn't GMC have their version of the Blazer? The Terrain is too small and the Acadia is too big, so I had to order a Blazer.

It does seem like Chevy and GMC offset their SUV's a little. The Acadia is slightly smaller than the Traverse but larger than the Blazer.

Great looking vehicle but at least $4K overpriced at $42K with weak 175hp. Ford Escape, fully loaded, with 250hp is $42K with 13 inch infotainment screen. Bronco Sport is $42k fully loaded as well with 250hp. GMC desperately need to add optional 250 engine to make sure Terrain is not discontinued due to falling sales. I’d buy this one but for $37k tops.

The Terrain used to be available with the 2.0T engine but it was discontinued when the Equinox lost it as well. It would make a big difference for performance.

42K for a car producing dismal 175 hp??? Are they on drugs over GMC??? Hell no

It's not a lot but it should be slightly better than the Tucson for acceleration. It is a lot of weight to move around with relatively little power in today's market.
