Not sure what value there is to pointing out that schematically a defense is fine. I would imagine nearly every major college DC has a sound scheme if it's executed. Teaching your players to execute it is the trick.

I think physically , for the most par,t we can compete. But for some reason we keep making the same exact mistakes week after week. The mistake corrections at practice arent sinking in and being applied in the next game. Like it goes in one ear and out the other during practice. On the 3rd and 17, Castell was in perfect position to blast the WR. Didnt catch the ball, but had he caught it Castell could have knocked it loose, if he had hit him.

Luther Burden not Van Burden. You never mention that Schraders run game was burned into the Florida LBs mind's. So some of their slow adjustments on pass plays is understandable.

The previous “Dumpster Fire” Defense of years past was just as bad as this years. There are a few improvements, but the overall….ugh….

Tired of excuses. If your players can’t run your scheme you need to simplify to what they can do. Anyone can see a bunch of them don’t know what they are supposed to do so they just stand there. You coach the players you have not the players you wish you had.
