Gotta say I love the work that observer did. Usually one the people casting does the observing too so it can be too much work to juggle since so much is happening. This guy was on top of everything. Really liked the fact he was showing us the units and not the production tab when they were about to fight.

I think he doesn't like Scarlett lol. Even mentioning repeatedly the lings in the main being unused. They were specifically there, because a maru drop on the main could wipe her out. She moved them finally when all his medivacs were on the opposite side of the map.

Maru underestimated Scarlett pretty badly, and she punished him for it. It's as simple as that. It doesn't matter that she's the weakest player in that group. She's still good enough to pounce and smack down Maru if he fights below his best.

the ling were there to counter drops that could do too much damage while taking away her focus from other places on the map.

First of all, you can see it at her focus on gettn enough to stabilize and she clearly would have used the lings when she become aware terran needed to end the fight down sooner than later. She has the knowlage to see this. Secondly, she told it herself how hard it was she forgett them😅

Game 1 is why I stopped playing Starcraft. It's difficult to bring yourself to practice when zerg can get a single good fight and immediately win while you have to be perfect in 3 places at once all game, and then maybe you win. It has to be fair in order to be engaging, and unfortunately Starcraft is not.

@@alk672 She absolutely did. Tasteless' framing of match 1 was lopsided. Scarlett had massive economy advantage and they didn't even acknowledge that. That entire match was Maru slowly losing as he couldn't even take out that 3rd base which wasn't even that important as Scarlett was mining from like, 3 others whereas Maru was completely dependent on that gold base that he knew he was screwed when he lost it. You think it's easy to defend against Maru while going wide? You really think it's easy to land those perfect fungals? Against someone like Maru? Just because these pros make it look easy doesn't mean it is.

@@Poo0fiof course it's not easy. But it's much harder to be Maru and macro perfectly while microing perfectly in 3 places. Then he makes one mistake and loses, while Scarlett needs one good play to win.

@@alk672 The entire reason Maru lost from one mistake, from one good fungal is because he had no economy and that was entirely his fault. If his early attacks actually destroyed Scarlett's third base then he would've had the leeway to also economy up so he wouldn't just lose if he lost two-thirds of his army. In this specific match, Maru lost to a perfect fungal because he went all in but wasn't able to really do damage and had no economy to fall back on. There are many, many matches where people get hit with devastating fungals but were still able to win because they had the economy to quickly get back in it. Don't use this one specific match to push your bias. It's like we didn't just get a patch that buffed Terran and nerfed Zerg.

These jackasses were riding Maru's jock SO FING HARD the whole way from minute one to thirteen. He got NOTHING done, down twenty then thirty then forty supply while they pretend he's inventing 2prong attacks in 2023 and Scarlett stays at 90 workers throughout. She literally took the game at a walk the first time she *bothered* coming across the board. Christ I hope they review their own work after, that was embarrassing for the announcers.
