I bought one of these yesterday and I was not aware of the $5000 market adjustment until I was ready to sign I was ready to walk out and they cut it in half and eventually got rid of the extra $5000 completely

@@achillesoyido8864 Problem is the used car market sucks right now (going to change soon with repos increasing). So right now Dealerships have more leverage then the consumer. But that is about to change here in a few months. Ford and Chevy are showing signs of cars sitting on their lots. The issue is Honda and Toyota are still catching up. I think by 1st quarter of 2024 new car prices will be making their way back to normal, hopefully.

@@keithbuckley2543 I agree Honda tends to have the Hybrids for US market around the 200 HP range. The 2.0 NA in the Civic Sport is like 150 HP and you can tell when you drive it around. Mini vans move faster than you do in the civic sport.

Test the 2023 Civic Sport last weekend, really wanted to like it more. A few items I didn't like, was lack of pep, manual driver seat adjustment, and it rides rough for sure. I get it's the sport trim and at $27k MSRP lacks some of the Touring and or Accord sport items. But a power driver seat and maybe a 190 HP engine option in the Civic Sport would be nice. The 150 HP 2.0 NA is sluggish at best. I have a 9th gen Honda accord sport CVT and its no 2.0t but it will get when you need it to. Things I do like about the 2023 Civic Sport is that's $27k MSRP. That the Sport/Eco is a toggle and not a button like the Accords. Some of the safety features (Lane departure warning, Lane keep assist, Emergency braking Assist) are basic equipment, so you are getting the same systems as the Accord, CRV, Passport, Pilot, and Ridgeline have as well. LED headlamps are nice along with 7" infotainment display. If Honda could put a few more Horses in the Civic Sport, 40 HP more to be exact this thing would be as fun as the Si trim without being as fast. Not like the Si is as crazy fast as the Type-R. But with the markup on Si's and Type-R's, it is out of reach for the common folk to enjoy. If I needed a new car to replace a 20 year old Civic, I would have to say I would be game. But I don't I have an Accord, and the Accord to me is better feeling in so may ways. This Civic Sport is a Teenagers car at best.

Yes, I agree 1.5T at least would've been great for this car.
@sn4rl277
@sn4rl277 Жыл бұрын
@@NothinButCarReviews I think they didn't do it because it would put it on the same level as the Si as far as performance. So they have the gap in power. Which to me kills the fun factor in the Civic Sport. At least give it 30 more HP, then it would feel more lively. But for the money, I think the Civic Sport is a really good buy if you don't mind a slow sport car.

*158 HP. K-Tuner has a tune for the N/A 2.0L which is for reliability and longevity over the 1.5L turbo. With the tune you can get HP and torque levels of the turbo engine on demand and have the reliability and longevity. With mods, possibly more power. There is a good aftermarket item to deactivate the dreaded auto start/stop feature, but a slight hassle to install. Or Just put it in Sport Mode or deactivate it each time you start the engine. LasFit has the LED light bulbs for the brake and reverse lights.

No, the Civic Sport rides rougher. I test drove a 2020 Honda accord sport 2.0t (19" on the accord) right before test driving the 2023 Honda Civic Sport (sedan). And I felt more of the bumps then I did with the Accord, same roads driven in both test drives.

@@carguy-xv2cl Same here. I felt like my 9th Gen Accord Sport rode better then the 2023 Civic Sport. And the 2020 Accord Sport 2.0t felt tighter an more planted, if that makes any sense. I want to drive the Touring of the Civic and Accord to see which one I like better. My issue is I have to buy a car in a few months. So I am dreading forking over the extra $$$ on these inflated car prices.

Heres my review Owner of a : 2023 Civic Sport Hatchback, in 6 speed manual transmission, Engine: 2.0L k20 C2 Gas milage: 28mpg-30mpg depending on driving habits In my opinion having this 2.0 in a six speed feels way more fun than driving it in a CVT configuration, my friend owns a (2022 sport sedan with a cvt) the cvt takes a bit to pick up speed, compared to the 6 speed where you can downshift and pick up speed if you need to quickly, also im not a fan of cvts heard too many horror stories Features: Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure, you can select how far you want to be from other cars while in cruise control, ( forgot the feature name ) apple car play / android auto, Digital Half Odometer Interior: simple, clean, high-quality, doesnt have a " cheap" car look at all. For the price id say its pretty nice, infotainment looks ugly but its not that bad, i do hate how in the sport model you have to plug in to use apple car play, i would like the wireless option to be universal, lots of room in the back since i got the hatchback, also putting the seats down is a blessing especially when you have to carry unexpected large cargo, audio wise the speakers are nice it comes with 8, bring up the bass and treble a bit and itll sound nice, Exterior: im a huge fan of how simple. Sleek and mature the new FL1's are, i never really liked how overly aggressive and sporty the FK's were, the DRLS just bring out the front end, i do have to knock alot of the body gaps the car has especially twoards the back on the hatchback model, but other than that, i love the styling, Overall, id say if you can find one that isnt marked up too much id say its a great car for daily commuting, to and from work or just a daily driver, Out the door mine was about 29k, out the door it was about 33k, The car isnt Crazy fun or Sporty, but its a honda, and im okay with what it is, if i want fun i just drive my FBO subaru wrx Overal score 8/10 perfect daily driver 👌

Thanks for your thoughts on the car. I am looking around, and really like this (Honda 2.0 w/ the 6 speed). Looking around online I see the car priced around $26.9k - $27.4k, after tax and dealer fees, $29k sounds about right. Did you have to pay a market adjustment to get it at $33k? I am finding Sport Jettas w/ the 6 speed for around $22k. I am not sure if VW's have the same markups as Honda and Toyota though. Finding affordable new manual cars is getting really hard!
@xFades
@xFades Жыл бұрын
@Ryan Tyniec what's up, bro! In all honesty, I think the only reason it came up to 33k was because of the extra little add ons they put on the car. You know dealerships tryna squeeze out some extra money from consumers, But if you can find one that isn't marked up, I'd definitely get one. I'm two months in owning this thing, and I love it. Although now that I've done more research I'd have to say if you want a little bit more performance and fun, you can actually get the Sport Touring thats equipped with a 1.5L Turbo charged engine, in a 6 speed making about 180hp, and I honestly think that would be a nice pick up as well, or the Si but the Si's only come in sedan configuration. And tbh the Si and the sport touring have the same engine, the 1.5L turbocharged engine, the si has sport injection ( just gives it a bit more fuel ) and a bit more boost if I'm not mistaken. That brings up the total horsepower to 200hp. Not sure if the fancy si badge and 20 extra hp is worth it though, along with different interior accents like red seat belts and red si seats and the honeycomb air vents trim being red there's not much difference going on there. Just a more hefty price tag and mark up since Si's fly off the shelf like candy. On another note, I'm pretty sure the reason these cars ( Toyota and honda ) are getting marked up aside from supply issues, they've just proven themselves to be super reliable. Every other car you see is a Toyota or honda, compared to like VW or Mazdas, so I think that's why you can find some of those cars for less and not marked up because due to popularity, but then again I feel like it's all preference I own a subaru wrx 2017 and even though it's reputation is dog water this has been one of the second most reliable cars I've owned. But yeah I'd say if you can find a 6 speed honda, it being Sport, Sport Touring, or even the SI I'm sure you'll be happy with the quality of the build. The styling and fuel economy. Plus you have peace of mind knowing that car is gonna last you a long time. And maitnance cost isn't high at all, Sorry for the long reply 🥲
