Really disappointing that Honda does not offer a fully digital speedometer/instrument cluster like the last madel. What were they thinking?

Surprising indeed, especially since the 2023 Accord offers fully digital drivers display in all trim levels. Thanks for watching.

How come does the 2023 Accord (the trims that have 12.3 inches) have a larger screen than the CR-V?
@c.harperautogroup
@c.harperautogroup Жыл бұрын
Great question. I'm sure the larger screen will make it to the CR-V and the rest of the Honda lineup eventually.

Being in Pittsburgh, have you noticed any issues in the last year with the hybrids regarding cold weather? My two biggest worries with the hybrid is 1. the cost to eventually replace the battery and 2. hybrids in cold weather

None at all! These Hybrid system operate almost as normal when the temperatures dip down. The engine may run a bit more to keep the cabin warmer but that's all. In my experience, you won't have to worry about battery replacement well into the 150K range but they'll likely last even longer than that. We've seen some over 300K miles on original batteries.

Nice review! What happened to the fog light option?
@c.harperautogroup
@c.harperautogroup Жыл бұрын
Thank you for watching! Honda eliminated fog lights for the 2023 redesign as the LED headlights produce a similar amount of light.

No fog lights at all. was never designed. Regular headlights do not put out the same amount. I have this car (hybrid, sport touring), picked up month ago. Side view is sucks at night on this car. I will be adding after market fogs later. You can't see where your turning to at night and tint making it worse..

@@IvanRossS Thanks for the info. Yeah, it really surprises me that it doesn't even come with the option. What's interesting is that the Passport and Pilot come with fog lights as well as the Acura RDX. Do you have places to install the lights?

@@IvanRossS If you look close there is a location for the fog lights and after market companies are selling them, I am sure it will be included with the 2024 and indeed you can see that other countries have the fog lights

Where is the Bose subwoofer??? I don’t think Honda is offering a subwoofer like Toyota is offering a JBL subwoofer

Honda is so cheap for not throwing charging in the rear. Pushing people to the hybrid

Test drove both trims. Hybrid has just a bit more horse power, but truly nothing special. The hybrid overall does look better and I’m sure that’ll appeal to a lot of buyers. Otherwise, they’re both decent options.

The Hybrid is great if you do a lot of dense traffic driving - they truly shine in those situations. Both are great option for sure. Thanks for watching!

Two pet peeves with the CRV models the small bland and boring infotainment system esp the Sport Hybrid and EX trim and now LX. The non digital cockpit looks odd and Honda could have done a better job hiding the fact it’s not full digital and you see that giant line at the car start. For $35k missing so many features compared to a Sportage. No remote start from mobile device except on Touring, no 360 camera and they used the same blurry camera as an old model Civic, real world fuel economy is worse than suggested in the Hybrids making the CRV the worst fuel economy suv in its class failing to beat the Sportage, Tucson, and RAV4 hybrids. At the $35k hybrid sport pricing matching the EX-L basically you should get a power lift gate. The lift gate is hard to open and for the fob to have it as a button is insulting because it doesn’t do anything. At this sub-luxury pricing scheme the CRV should have one or two bells to jingle but it does not. The CRV is the student in the group who showed up to the presentation with all the accolades but did none of the work. This car winning any awards for the minimum effort Honda dropped into it is laughable. Regardless of chip shortage Honda seems to be struggling on offering top of the line comfort and accessibility with modern technology.

All great points! Honda knows what to do to keep the CR-V popular but they certainly never push the envelope too much. Would love to see some of the features you mentioned added over the next couple of years.

@@c.harperautogroup years???? They need to add them now. Word is Kia surpassed Honda in holding its value and winning top JD Power awards. Honda needs to add them to the mid year refresh or 2024 model or risk losing the upcoming car population ready to buy and lease.

@@JustinAdams84 At the rate Kia and Hyundai's engines are blowing up, I don't think Honda has anything to worry about. JD Powers is a joke anyway, so I wouldn't rely much on their opinion. The truth is, if you don't like the Honda, buy the Kia--and visa versa. There are so many options out there, you can argue pro's and con's all day long.
