2023 Honda Monkey USB charger port install

Күн бұрынUSB port install via the head light. I prefer this method over running a wires to the battery. Also no need to ground it as its grounded through the harness.

maybe a stupid question but why isnt the black wire connected to the other black wire?

It’s a good question. I think it’s because black color is sometimes used for power and ground.

All Honda bikes use green wire for ground .

Why not just hardwire straight to your battery? I did that on my KLX. You need to have your ignition/headlight on to run the USB which will drain your battery if you are not running the engine.

Good point, I usually charge when riding so the engine will be charging the battery. You can accidentally drain your battery if you leave something charged while engine is off with direct hardwire. Either way has a weakness. Also you should put a fuse if your directly hardwired just incase.

@@MacrossGarage Absolutely. I bought one of those generic usb kits for motorcycles which goes right to the battery and has an inline fuse. Haven't used it yet but like having it in case i need it. ;-)
