As far as the 5W30 Mobil synthetic engine oil, it's probably best to buy at the nearest wholesale club or maybe a walmart.
Auto part stores appear to be more expensive.

Just one thing I would add. I don't think you mentioned in the video that there is usually a plastic protective cover, which looks like you removed it first to get to the oil pan and filter.

Hi, there was never a cover under the oil pan since I purchased the car, however, I did get it used, so if there was a cover, the previous owner could have removed it. It's usually something you would see on a 4x4 suv tho. What year is your kia soul? L

@@LjLaValle Mine is a 2011. Maybe some models and years don't have the cover.

@@1FlyingSolo1 Hmmm, maybe the previous owner removed it. Do you have the 1.6 or 2 liter engine? Thanks for mentioning it. Does the cover have the snap in plastic retainers or metal screws?

it's better to fill the filter with oil and take from there to add it on the gasket.( Hello). Running the car with a filter dry is not good, and I don't care if you have a company with 20 cars. Is that the way you clean where you going to put the filter? that paper is dirty man.

Been using Mobil one synthetic for 20 years on all of my delivery vehicles for my courier company - all 200,000 miles plus before I sold them still running great, and some at 10,000 mile oil change intervals. Why do you say that?
