I just changed mine to android in the builder and fixed up the errors took 5 extra minutes and worked smoothly

what do I do if the avatar when I load into the game it’s just the gray vrchat robot.. cause I’ve been trying to figure that out cause it’s not supposed to be the vrchat robot

you can just go when you have 2 different accounts like me you can ho on quest and copie your made avatar from pc

It's been like nearly 4 years since the last time I made an VRChat avatar in SDK2. Never done SDK3 avatar before...

I mispoke in the video, the sdk stuff will be in the "packages" folder not assets. However, if you import the sdk correctly by either double-clicking it in your file explorer or dragging into your assets, it should definitely show VRChat SDK in the top left corner. Make sure it's the correct Unity version and check for errors in the console if necessary. Hope this helps!

@@Savvy_VR It worked after some tries even tho I was puttin in the assets, but then when I upload it nothing happens for like 15 minutes so I just close it and go do something else

Yes you’ll upload it after signing into your account, it will say “unpublished avatar” and you “auto fix” any errors preventing you from uploading. To upload, you’ll just hit build and publish. It will then ask you to name your avatar and set private or public which is up to you

I prefer separate, but you can do either way. If you do decide to have more than one in the same project make sure you change the pipeline manager number- that's what defines your avatar upload. If two avatars have the same pipeline manager number they will be the same upload file meaning you're still updating the same one avatar only

My discord is Not Savvy#2333 -Make sure you have the correct version of Unity loaded up and the correct SDK3 package from VRChat's website. Just drag the SDK package into your assets to import it, then go ahead and import your avatar :)

Find the materials folder for the avatar model and change them to Poiyomi as shown here 9:25

@@arsonisttic the animation tab is not needed for upload, just to make animations. I added it before I filmed

Once the SDK is imported you'll see "VRChat SDK" in the top left white of your Unity project. Click that to log in

yeah, I'm having the same issue anyone have a fix for this.

just closed and reopened and now I see some vr chat components but only like phys bones no descriptor i can find the descriptor in the sdk files but does not show up when trying to add component.

i have found the answer to our question my friend click on the prefab and in the inspector menu should be a button that says open prefab click it then it should show the to missing scripts he deletes in the video as he does delete these then click add component and then search vrc and vrc descriptor should be there.

You need more storage space on your PC

Make sure you're importing a .unitypackage file

Are you building on quest platform? Could be why. If they are unity console errors, those are super common. Generally speaking as long as they aren’t compile errors preventing you from going into play mode or uploading the avi, they aren’t worrying about.

I'm not too familiar with uploading worlds, sorry! There's plenty of other creators who could give you much better direction than me on that.

Make sure your hard drive has space! Other basics things such as internet could be part of it

I know i'm 6 months late, but there is a genuine reason: the creator companion only supports windows, so if you're trying to do this on linux or mac it simply isn't an option. It's something that's been a massive problem for me, as i'm running linux, and this is the only up-to-date tutorial i can find that doesn't require the companion. Hope that helps answer your question, even if it is a little late!

Make sure it’s an SDK3 package not SDK2, and that you’re Unity is up to date (2019.4.31). If you’re using an altered SDK you can always download the official VRChat one as shown in the video

Yes you're just going to use your VRChat login credentials when you login to upload on the SDK

My dum ass menaged to change the avatar into internet explorer i would like to be able to download the normal avatar again

Once the sdk is imported, click your avatar in the hierarchy then move over to the inspector, "add component" then find the vrc avatar descriptor

@@jecembuary i just did it an my dumb butt was using the 2019 verz and the avi needed 2022 so i made a hole new project with the the 2022 and i saw it

To look around in the scene, you just hold right mouse click and use the mouse scroll wheel to zoom in and out. If you mean the game camera (in the scene), it's just an object that can be moved and rotated like any other object by clicking it, going to the inspector, and change the values to where you want it. Or if you have the move tool selected, you'll just use the arrows to move it on screen

Yes, it can be frustrating to find good models. That’s why I usually upload goofy/simple avatars with funny animations, sounds, or effects, since I’m more experienced in that area. Avatar optimization and proper rigging can be done, but it just takes time to learn

@@Savvy_VR iTs a lot of trial and error indeed! because there is not a good and stable source of info since everything around is pretty much wild and "uncovered". Even the simplest issue might be tremendous for people who just started.

This tutorial, is nice. However, I haven't done making for almost 4 years, plus I'm used to SDK 2 avatars, it was more simple.
