Amazing! I just put an RK Tek head on it for under $200 and for me it is a game changer! Finding myself using the standard mapping more often in single track as the bike hits so much harder and is even faster now. I would recommend purchasing one if you want more power.

@@pnwdirtridersbrianlynn8112 Sweet! I live in CO and run a head on my '18 300XC. For CO elevation a head is pretty much mandatory in my book. It gets a little nutty at lower elevations though 😆 Morgan with Highland Cycles here in CO added an RK head to his new 300 and loves it. These new 300s look very nice indeed.

just picked up a 23 300 XC TBI. I am mostly an MX guy and my main ride is a 23 KTM 450 SX. I do trail ride and race a couple GNCC and XC races locally though and had a 350 XCF and a 250 XC before that since I've gotten into off road a little again. I like 4 strokes for MX and 2 strokes in the trees but did not want a TPI 2 stroke. hence the 350. I've been waiting for a video with tech trails and a higher hour bike. this video made me feel VERY good about my purchase. Nice work man.

Great review! Still loving my 21 Te300i with 170hrs but man it would be nice to have a freshie. Ballsy running that IX09W with tubliss. Absolute worst tire with a cut in it. JX8 worked just as good for me with a stiffer sidewall.

Great trail - thanks for the video. How are the WP XACT Forks in the rocks and roots at slow speeds - are you running lower air pressure or something like the Kreft Plush Tank? Do you feel much deflection compared to the XPLOR forks? How is the transmission on the 2023 TXs? I know people are saying the XCs have different ratios this year.
@pnwdirtridersbrianlynn8112
@pnwdirtridersbrianlynn8112 Жыл бұрын
It took me a while to get the front suspension dialed in. They continue to improve the air forks but I still think it is hard to beat springs but I am happy with them in the slow rocks and whoops. I like the transmission just fine but the new mapping makes a big difference in the power delivery of the bike.

Thanks for the video. Why the TX instead of TE? Excuse my ignorance please. Is the TX not suppose to be for cross country stuff and TE the techie enduro stuff you are riding? Im on my 4th TE 300. Love them.
@pnwdirtridersbrianlynn8112
@pnwdirtridersbrianlynn8112 Жыл бұрын
Wa State has a variety of terrains from rain forests, 7k Mtns, muddy single track and desert riding. The TX air forks have improved and are more versatile for all the different terrains I ride. Lots of guys just buy 2 bikes! The TE 300 is awesome but the 23’ is a TPI and does not have the new TBI updates. I had a 20’ TE300 and the new low end on the TBI and throttle response makes up for the gearing IMO. Let’s hope they update the TE with TBI in 24’.

did you find the adjustment period difficult at all? I'm going from tpi bikes to this and struggling to feel comfortable at all. I know I need more time on it but its pretty off. I mainly ride tight, rocky, technical terrain. Some days it's hard to get over 15-20mph. Bike feels really stiff and the steering feels really heavy as well, love the vids keep up the awesome work
@pnwdirtridersbrianlynn8112
@pnwdirtridersbrianlynn8112 Жыл бұрын
I found the engine power and updated Ecu and improved maps took 2-3 rides. It took about 5-6 rides to dial in the oem suspension the best I could as the terrain I was riding differed. I also prefer single track riding.

I'm waiting for my heritage tx to arrive. I've had 3 300s and can't say a bad thing about any of them. My only concern about the new one is the fuel pump location. I cant figure out how its going to get fuel when the level gets below half or so. Have you experienced any issues with this? Thanks for the great videos.

I think it is personal preference. I choose not to use them on strokes as I feel the throttle response is a little different and I don’t like the free roll. I would like a Recluse on a 350xcf for sure.

Not hating, but its sped up whether you did it on purpose or not. Besides all of your movements being herky jerky. Your bike sounds like its idling at 5000 rpm. Not a normal TBI idle speed

It is not as good as the TPI’s. I have done 62 miles of single track trail riding on one tank. I would say between 20-30mpg depending how Often you are wide open and for how long. It has not been a big deal for me.

Trail riding I have ridden 62miles with a couple cups of gas left. I would guess around 30 mpg but if you are racing I would guess closer to 25 mpg. Traditionally, I get a couple mpg less than average.
