I felt like I saw your team driving this car along EDSA(I think it was Jack who was driving) and I was expecting an IONIQ review pretty soon and now here it is. Great review as usual!

Love this car. My first EV and Hyundai. I felt in love w/ the drive and price. The style took a couple weeks to grow on me. Strangers love to ask about it & seem to love it

I have the ev6 and that's the cousin of ioniq5 and 6. contrary to your view, the ev6 is my primary vehicle right now, I have no problem with it. The key to a satisfying EV experience is to have your own home charger. If you intend to just rely on "free" mall charging, EV is not for you.

I agree with your charging sentiments. I live in a condo and the major reason why I am not yet on board on getting a BEV is because of my inability to charge while it's parked. I do hope condos would eventually have provision for an EV charger and for newer ones to have it moving forward. My first choice is to have it charged during my weekly grocery run at SM since it's the only charging station nearby. My second choice is to have it charging while I'm at the office, but I'm afraid my electric bill would skyrocket and also if you take into consideration the higher electric rates for commercial establishments then it could negate the fuel savings that I'd get. I guess we really just have to wait for EV chargers to be ubiquitous, like Tesla's Supercharger Network. I'm all set for my next car purchase to be a PHEV or at least an HEV, but it would be nice to go full electric instead. I just wish we get more legit hybrid SUVs in the market. BMW X5 xDrive50e would be nice since BMW already offers the XM here.

It's amazing that these cars were used as taxis (of course, not all of them) in South Korea! (specifically what we noticed in the Myeongdong area)

Where to charge is not a tiny issue 😁. The only way that EV will be widely use is to lower the price then more charging point will be build.

One of the requirements as part of the LTO registration renewal process is emission test. I'm curious to know if this requirement applies to EVs as well (probably not), and if LTO has already integrated specific processes to accommodate EVs in their procedures?

I quite disagree with an ev not being a daily driver. I actually prefer my Ioniq 5 for daily driving and Palisade for the weekend. It's more practical for me and my family 😊

is the Philippine models only getting RWD? AWD with 320hp makes a lot more difference... or getting the GT/N from Kia/Hyundai. RWD seems very slow to me. Its basically like ECO mode on any mode.

Motor and battery are cooled/warmed depending on thermal situation.

You really do not need a covered garage to charge the car. My charger is outside and I don't have a covered garage. You do need a way to charge in your house for an EV as a primary car.

With cars like these,. That only runs on #Literallg just batteries which is also,,..Our county should really find a way on having easy access.Of charging ports Specially on our garages,.So that on our everyday trip to work nor schools as well as our road trips,,..Would already be #Worry free But for now,.Just like Caco said! Since we are not on that era yet to own an e-v,,..We really first should have cars running on gas! If ever.We need to rejuice up our car a gas station would always be near by But yeah,.With this cars! Like this one's Hyundai's Ionic-5 and ionic-6 also Nissan's ev cars Our country should really,.Act fast! Because in the good side of things We you already own,.This kinds of cars you are already helping our beloved mother nature! In breathing healthy air once again 👍😉👍

No need for holes in the front? You need air for the air conditioner condenser, there's also a radiator which is necessary to cool the battery. And I will bet you money that the electric motors are liquid cooled as well. It is amazing the ignorance

well in manila madami ng charging areas like sa malls and gas stations, sa province lang wala pa talaga at magpapa install kanalang ng home charging pero sa haba ng range ng mga ev ngayon viable padin yun.

Just buy a Tesla. You know there is already severe charging issues with the ionic 5? No to mention a class action lawsuit. Just look it up! I would never touch this brand.

Just Google it: The Model 3 is Tesla's second best-selling electric vehicle across the globe. There are several reasons why it's so popular, one of which is reliability, indicates a new poll. Anything that says less is based on the first model year.
