This is definitely on my radar. Im thinking about getting the mazda 3, but for its price i also am considering this tucson gas. Once ready, I'll both take a test drive to know which fits my needs. Great review btw!

"It doesn't have Lane keep assist, adaptive cruise control, etc, etc" Man, the Philippines got shafted... all those features are STANDARD in the US versions of the Tucson.

The Truck version, the Hyundai Santa Cruz, can definitely gives that impression!

I have this car, it has wireless android auto... Although it sometimes disconnects, its more reliable with cable

Nakakapagtaka bakit mas mahal pa ito sa midtrim montero😂 Tas yung parts and service palit pyesa method nila hindi repair gaya ng mitsu at toyota

The design wont age well, there is a facelift already in th works(sorry resale value), its overpriced, the trunk has a little more space lengthwise than a Vitara and in most markets its powered by a loud diesel or a anemic petrol, at least it doesnt get the crap 7 speed dct. Hyundai makes great sedans, not SUV's.

I understand your gripes with the Tucson and truth be told, design-wise, it certainly might not go down in history to become a classic, but it sure holds up in value especially in the used car market. I always say that you shouldn't buy a car because of it's perceived future market value, I leave that to used car salesmen, if a car brings you joy and ticks all the boxes with what you need in the present, why settle for something that doesn't? :-) Thank you so much for your comment! @@mototelic i agree that you shouldnt buy a car solely on its resale value if its for personal use, otherwise its just a business transaction. But life happens and you may need to get rid of the car and the resale then poses an issue. On the matter of what its being sold for now on the used market you cant really gauge that as most persons are basically selling them at dealer prices or more which is insane. You have to give it a little more time to get a proper assessment but experience is a great teacher and cars with polarizing looks like this especially in the volume market dont retain value as well especially when there is a new design coming out.
