Mike Zajdel #079, Row 1, PRO UTV in a 2018 Polaris RZR RS1. This may have been my last race in the RS1. This is one of my top 3 favorite race tracks. Started the race in last place but slowly moved up due to other cars breaking down. The goal is to keep the car together as best as possible and this track was very rough on the machine. I did take the creek jump on the first lap but then decided to take the go around in laps 2 & 3 because I wanted to try to save the car from taking too much abuse. This was the first time I put the car in low to climb a hill. It worked out pretty good. Last year at this race I broke a right rear axle. Well...I did it again. The right rear axle broke. The only difference from this year from last is I installed a true lock 4wd switch with keeps the car in 4wd, so I had front wheel drive with all three wheels pulling. I ended the race 6th in class and 7th overall. I really wish I could have finished my last race under checkers. No worries. I will have plenty of videos with the 4x4 scrambler for this year and next!
