Join us for five days of backcountry camping, kayaking and fly fishing on the Jack's Fork River and the Current River in the Ozark National Scenic Riverways National Park in Southern Missouri while filming “Fly Fish Missouri” with ‪@BluffLINEMedia‬, ‪@NotMissingLink‬ and Tom and Mark “Where’s Malko” Malkowicz.
I have been looking forward to testing the 2023 ‪@jayco‬ Terrain 19Y in the field for quite sometime. Overall, I was extremely impressed with the Terrain and it's off-grid/off-road capabilities. The Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 4x4 chassis with BF Goodrich K02's came in handy on multiple occasions towing a flatbed trailer full of kayaks and paddle boards up our steep remote Ozark dirt roads. The Renogy 48V battery system is second to none and ran the refrigerator for five days straight in 90-95 degree heat. The Coleman Mach 10 48V battery powered A/C also exceeded my expectations.
On the cooler nights camping next to the spring-fed Current River, I cracked a window, rolled down the screen doors and and used the MaxxAir Deluxe roof vent to provide a comfortable breeze in the van. By the end of the trip, I still had around 30% of my battery power remaining thanks to supplemental charging from the 200W solar panels and the 2nd 48V alternator dedicated to lithium battery.
In my opinion, if you enjoy minimalist-style camping, the Jayco Terrain is the PERFECT companion for getting lost in the woods/mountain/desert/etc!!
