I love the sound mix on this. You can hear the players and crowd so well-the commenters don’t drown them out at all.

This is extremely refreshing. A unique course, unique players, players getting hyped, spectators getting hyped, the love of the game without (comparatively) much on the line. This resembles the golf that got old timers like me to start playing. Thank you, CCDG!

CCDG + Nate + Manaboom = COUNT ME IN! Thanks, as always, CCDG! Here in NZ, we call Manabu "Manaboom" because at the 2017 NZ National Champs in the playoff, on a flat 230 metre hole in calm air Manabu threw a measured 186 metres (610 feet), absolutely spanking both Big Jerm and Avery from the teepad. And to say the crowd went wild would be something of an understatement. :)

PA-1 more stable than the 3 and 5 so You had it right from the start Nate. I'd say the most used Prodigy putter is the PA-3 (might switch to it myself soon not even caring about the brands but feel). BUT I think the P Model S have risen to second place for putters in Prodigy, I don't see it, its not for me... the P Model US might be nice for spinputters as well. Isaac is using the PA-4 right?
@QactisX10 ай бұрын
PA-4 is also a solid putter from Prodigy. Beadless and weirdly boxy, yet comfortable rim. Not the best in the wind but solid

I think Jones is a little frustrated with his putting, so everything seems exaggerated. I can't imagine that any event casual or otherwise is any better. Gotta learn to focus and tune everything out. Can't only play good if the whole world stops turning during your shots. Thanks for the really good coverage and commentary. This is the first time I've gotten to watch these guys play, so that's super.

Can someone explain how kajiyama is the highest rated player in the world? Just looked it up and he's played 1 single tournament in the past few years thats higher than a B tier which was dglo this year where he took 66th place in a 73 player field
@SATX_10 ай бұрын
For sure overhyped.
@ps3nickolia1210 ай бұрын
Ratings don't mean shit honestly. He's the best in a very small field in Japan, and the rating systems don't seem to take into account the field you play against as much as it does tournament wins.
@ReluctantAardvark10 ай бұрын
Also, tournament organisers can definitely “arrange” for their own events to pad their ratings. Not saying he did this but, ultimately, when you play against people with inflated ratings, your rating will improve too.

play one tourney, average 1051, easy as that. you don't have to play hundreds of rounds to have a rating. i played with a guy 1000+ rated and he played way under that because he played well in the ONLY tourney he entered

Dude took his hat off, it just rained. Nate said it, probably was a bug, which causes a fight or flight reaction especially if you're not a fan of bugs. Might have even been instinctual. No reason for Bobby to make a scene, that was embarrassing. Not like he was dropping them with 0 movement. People always want to deflect when the only other option is man up to your mistakes.

Love CCDG and have been Rockin' to Brock for ages... I'm not down with Jones calling out the fan like that. He's a "professional" disc golfer. Being quiet is the only real requirement expected of fans. If you're going to get mad at that, you'll never make it to the big leagues with hundreds of fans around the basket. Poor sportsmanship :/
@larkincampbell540910 ай бұрын
Newer to the sport, but it seems disrespectful to the audience to directly call someone out for movement. Especially with the situation dictating poor play to start.
@jjhill00110 ай бұрын
I'm sure he'd take it back if he could. He's clearly frustrated in that moment and used that as an excuse. Realistically there can be planes cars and other crap going while you putt should not throw you that far off for a guy to make a small motion while you put.
@playdiscgolf154610 ай бұрын
@@jjhill001movement gets me like that too. If everything was still and then that happened, I know a lot of people that would be effected.

Likely first time in front of crowd I can see people getting distracted. I just saw a lot of comments acting like he was being ridiculous and its like yah but they put dude in front of a massive crowd and on camera he clearly wants to do well for that and didn't the first holes. I'm more of a feel putter personally (practice putting just staring at the ground to focus on the motion) so the reasoning I woulda missed his put would have been that I'm just not good lol. @@playdiscgolf1546

Fortunately or unfortunately, that's just Bobby. I believe he plays in MP60 now. He's been a Rochester top guy since the late 80s. Not so much anymore, but he's always been a very... outspoken player? Overall good guy, he just has one of those personalities you have to be around for years before it comes off as normal. *I don't know him very well personally. I've met him a handful of times and I've played at a lot of events where he was.
