What really helped make the OG 12's pop was the bracketed EVA foam that was put behind the quilted ribbed leather uppers. It gave them a bulky look. Over the years, Nike made the 12 retroes look slimmer with each release.

This is why I like Jumpman bostic. I've actually met him in person. When he came to a convention in St Louis. Anyways, He's like me he enjoys all types of Jordans not just certain ones. Nobody is mentioning that the midsole part between the leather red and the rubber red is painted on the retros, whereas on the original the material itself is red. Same on the 2009.
