The 2023 Kawasaki Vulcan hasn't changed all that much over the years, but it also works great for a huge range of riders over a wide variety of riding tastes. In this video I talk about how the accessories catalog can really help you make this your perfect bike, and if your riding habits or motorcycling needs change, you can adapt this bike to fit! Check out this bike and the entire Kawasaki lineup by connecting with the amazing people at Jim Gilbert's PowerSports here: powersports.wh...

Thanks for this in depth and high quality review of the bike. A lot of my questions have been answered. I'm 5.7 ft. It would be a perfect for my first bike.

I really appreciate the detailed orientated reviews. My dream cruiser bike is a Harley street glide but I can’t afford that at the moment. So I’m looking for a affordable cruiser. I’m getting tired of my sport bike for daily riding.. thanks for the content

The one thing I know about motorcycles, is you can wait your whole life for the "dream vehicle" and (sometimes) be disappointed that it doesn't live to those dreams, or you can find something that works and be riding today, (and sometimes be more impressed with that vehicle than you thought you would be!) Sometimes it's worth it to wait, sometimes it's not.

Great video this will be my next bike. I've been riding street bikes for 20 years I'm ready to graduate to a cruiser at 41 going on 42 .

NIce! I'm 43. This is the only cruiser that I'd buy. I like cruisers, and it would be fun to ride one for the weekend, or for a summer, but to spend my own money, I really like a bike that's a little sportier, and this would suit me well if I wanted a cruiser.

As a Harley-Davidson rider, I’m looking for a second bike. Too many vehicles are being stolen from the garage at work, so I need something that won’t hurt as much if stolen. Looks like this bike might be the one

The two motorcycles on the market today that I would be most interested in are the Kawasaki Vucan S and the HD 975 Nightster. With either of them I would add touring accessories. The HD offers a "Long Haul" package which includes a windshielad, Saddlebags, passenger seat, and pegs, and a passenger back rest. I would also add a luggage rack for the passenger back rest. With the Vukcan S I would add the same accessories. I like the style of both of these bikes, but the Kawasaki is half price. That might sway my choice to the Kawasai. I think they are both fun to ride, but why pay more?

That's been the thing with the Vulcan. You can spend the next decade saving for the dream, or you can stop dreaming, buy the bike you can afford today, and make your own memories, instead of daydreams!

@@PeterLoweOne I am OLD and very Blessed to have enough savings to pay cash for anything I want. I just can't see throwing money away on a Harley when the Kawasaki will do the same thing for half the money, That and I trust Kawasaki motocycles. I've owned three Kawaskis and never had any trouble with any of them, I can't say the same about the Harleys I 've owned.

Is this the cafe trim? If not whats diff?
@PeterLoweOne
@PeterLoweOne Жыл бұрын
It's not. The easiest way to see the difference is to go to www.kawasaki.ca to see the differences. When a Cafe model shows up, I'll try to get a video up comparing them.

What do you think about the one disc brake on the front? Does it have great emerg stopping power?
@kwakithailand
@kwakithailand Жыл бұрын
Most probably, in RL the tire sets the "one time emergency braking limits".
@PeterLoweOne
@PeterLoweOne Жыл бұрын
I wouldn't worry about the front brake too much. It will definitely be able to stop the bike. Many bikes in this class have overkill for braking, and I'm fine with that. Most people never use anywhere near their maximum braking capability. One thing you probably will notice if you drive this bike and a similar bike with dual front discs is that you may have a different feel to the brake lever. I have dual Brembo brakes on my new bike and the overall feel is excellent. This bike won't match that feel.

@@kwakithailand Agreed. Nearly all modern brake systems can easily lock up on full application (assuming there’s no ABS) so braking is nearly always limited by the traction of the tyre. Bigger brakes can be useful for heat dissipation if your sending it around a race track but your hardly going to be doing that on a Vulcan.
@kwakithailand
@kwakithailand Жыл бұрын
@@David-lr2vi Exactly, bro. I prefer a single, but sufficient, brake disk over a insufficient double disk brake any day. This engine does have such a strong engine brake, that evenn on mountain roads this single brake is sufficient.

Do they make a fairing like the rebel 1100 has? I couldn’t find out
@PeterLoweOne
@PeterLoweOne Жыл бұрын
There are some fairing options from Kawasaki, but the aftermarket should give you what you need if the factory accessories don't.

I would not recommend this bike for touring where I’m at. In california long highways everyone is hitting 75-80 mph. This bike would be revving high for a long time at that mph. Preferably a lower rpm bigger CC engine is better for touring.
@PeterLoweOne
@PeterLoweOne Жыл бұрын
I've driven this engine at those speeds for hours. So it may not work for you, but it will work for others. Having said that, when a lot of us plan longer tours, we look to take secondary highways, and that's where this bike shines with its lighter, easy handling chassis, it's just more fun.
