2023 Lincoln Navigator Towing Review: Better Than Escalade?

The 2023 #Lincoln Navigator is rated to tow "up to" 8,400 pounds in AWD short wheelbase guise, though ours didn't come with the Heavy-Duty Trailer Tow package and was rated for a bit less. In any case, every 2023 #LincolnNavigator is powered by the "High Output" EcoBoost 3.5L V6, using two turbos to produce 440 HP and 510 lb-ft. Yes, this engine is in cousin Ford Expedition as well, but only on Timberline or Stealth models. Power is sent through a 10-speed torque-converter automatic to rear or all four wheels depending on how you spec your Navigator.
Our Navigator Reserve includes Lincoln's "ActiveGlide," the brand's hands-free highway driver assistance tech that we can't wait to test. Other changes made in 2022 include bumper/fascia updates and a larger 13.2" infotainment display.

Thank you for making this video. I've been searching the internet for an hour to find the towing options for my wife's Navigator. I gotta go pick up her hellcat. And I wanted to make sure this thing would be able to do it. You saved me a bunch of phone calls and probably being put on hold a lot so I appreciate it.!!!

Seems like a decent towing option for the luxury segment, but yeah gotta always make sure you have the towing pack as that’s a big difference in rated ability if not.

Great review & information on towing. I have a 2019 with tow package & only have towed my 20 ft ski & fish Champion with it ( 3,500 lbs ) but looking to get an Oliver RV 24 ft with gross weight 7,000 lbs . Was wondering if there are any other upgrades to make it easier & safer ? ? They say 2019 is rated for 8,700 lbs towing . Thx again 👍⚾️

Thanks, glad it was helpful! You should be fine given you have the tow package. Would strongly recommend using a hitch with both weight distribution and sway control, I use the Blue Ox TrackPro and it works very well: amzn.to/3NPQmhi Watch your tongue weight, campers can often be tongue-heavy if you have water tanks or batteries/propane etc up near the nose.
